Chapter 903

Cecilia’s frankness almost made Rachel laugh. She nudged Cecilia playfully.

“You had no idea how awkward it was when I saw her. I was wringing my hands so hard due to the tension.”

Rachel admitted how unlucky she was.

Cecilia shook her head and sighed. “This was God’s plan, I suppose.”

Rachel placed everything she bought for Cecilia on the bedside table. “I brought some snacks and drinks, as well as some things for your children.”

Cecilia knew that even though Rachel and Tyler’s company hadn’t completely recovered from the crisis, Rachel helped cover much of her medical fees. Even her family didn’t treat her as well as Rachel did.

She grabbed Rachel’s hand. “Rachel, don’t buy so much stuff for me and don’t burden yourself with my affairs, too. You should focus on the things you have on hand.”

Rachel knew the kind of person Cecilia was, especially after befriending her for so long.

She reassured Cecilia, “I know. Don’t feel burdened at all. I understand my situation the best. I’m not so broke that I don’t have money to buy you these.”

At that moment, Rachel turned around and saw Elias walking in with two other doctors. “Oh, you’re here!”

She waved eagerly at them.

“Dr. Elias, it’s been a while. Have you gotten used to the pace here?”

Elias walked over and shook Rachel’s hand. “Not too bad. Life here is pretty good.”

Rachel raised a bold suggestion. “Why don’t you consider moving here permanently? Once you’ve fully recovered, you can consider bringing your mother here, too. You can always go back home during the holidays.”

Having been trained in psychology, Rachel knew that someone with a traumatic past like Elias would benefit from a change of environment.

Elias nodded. “I’ll think about it.”

At his response, joy filled Rachel’s heart. It sounded as though he was already considering this option.

“That’s great! I look forward to visiting you next time.”

Elias‘ gaze landed on Tyler, who was standing next to Rachel.

“Aren’t you going to introduce us?”

That was when Rachel realized her oversight. She lowered her head with a coy laugh.

“Pardon me. This is my boyfriend, Tyler Hunt.”

Tyler lifted a hand toward Elias. “Hello. I’ve heard lots about you, Dr. Elias. It’s a pleasure to finally meet you.”

Elias smiled.

“I’ve heard much about you too, Mr. Hunt. Overseas media outlets report about you too, waxing lyrical about how outstanding an entrepreneur you are. The legends you’ve established in the commercial circles are still studied by our students who look upon you as their role model.”

Tyler nodded. “It’s an honor.”

Rachel looked at Tyler with surprise. “I didn’t know your reputation made it overseas.”

Tyler arched a brow and said half–jokingly, “Don’t mind that. Very soon, your reputation will make it overseas as well. You’ll soon be the wife of an outstanding entrepreneur.”

Rachel chuckled. “How confident you are!”

Elias looked admiringly at Tyler and Rachel teasing each other. “This is exactly how I envision an ideal couple to be with each other.”

Rachel scratched her head, slightly embarrassed. “Pardon us, Dr. Elias.”

“It’s fine. It’s great, really,” Elias said. “Well, do remember to let Ms. Cecilia rest. She’s been low on energy recently and can’t talk for long.”
