Chapter 910

After getting into the car, Rachel pulled out her phone and called Tyler, but he didnโ€™t answer. A bad feeling rose in her chest.

She urged the driver, โ€œPlease drive faster. Itโ€™s an emergency.โ€

The car sped down the highway and finally arrived at Dingham Corporation.

Rachel pushed the car door open and rushed into the building, heading straight to a meeting room on the 18th floor. The moment she arrived at the door, she heard Mr. Jonesโ€™ voice from inside.

โ€œMr. Hunt, this is the shares transfer agreement. Sign it, and the money will be transferred to your account tomorrow.โ€

Rachelโ€™s heart clenched as she pushed the door open. โ€œDonโ€™t sign it!โ€

Tylerโ€™s hand froze in midair when he heard Rachelโ€™s voice. He turned to the door, and surprise filled his deep, dark eyes.

โ€œWhat are you doing here?โ€

โ€œYouโ€™d have sold your company if Iโ€™d come a second later!โ€ Rachel walked quickly to him, panting hard. โ€œDidnโ€™t we agree to discuss things before making any decision? Why did you sell your subsidiary company behind my back? The subsidiary companyโ€™s operations are closely tied to LS Enterprise. They are interdependent! Iโ€™m sure you know the risk of losing the subsidiary company.โ€

โ€œWe can always start a new subsidiary company. Iโ€™ll be left with nothing if anything happens to you.โ€

Tyler caressed Rachelโ€™s head as he spoke, without a tinge of regret over the loss of his subsidiary company. He knew clearly what was more important to him.

โ€œIโ€™ve raised a sum of two hundred million dollars. Donโ€™t worry. Once we sign this, the money will be transferred to my account. You wonโ€™t be sued.โ€

Rachel grabbed his arm. โ€œI can solve my own problems! Iโ€™d rather go to jail than see you sell your company!โ€

Just then, someone opened the door to the meeting room.

An old man donning a black suit and gold-rimmed glasses walked in with a folder in hand. He approached Tyler and said with a bow, โ€œItโ€™s been a while, sir.โ€

โ€œJeeves?โ€ Tyler asked, arching his brow. โ€œWhat are you doing here?โ€

Jeeves smiled before extending the folder toward him. โ€œYour father wants me to pass you this.โ€

Jeeves handed Tyler a check.

โ€œWhatโ€™s the meaning of this?โ€ Tyler asked, surprised.

โ€œMr. Lewis is in hospital, but it doesnโ€™t mean he knows nothing. Ms. Lloyd has to compensate her previous company a total of two hundred million dollars for transferring four projects to your company to make up for the losses it was making. When Mr. Lewis found out about it, he was in awe of her boldness and decided to cover the compensation amount for her. You donโ€™t need to do so.โ€

Rachel looked at the check in disbelief. โ€œAre you serious? Heโ€ฆโ€

โ€œAbsolutely,โ€ Jeeves said with a nod. โ€œMr. Lewis made it clear that youโ€™re a member of the Lewis family, especially with that family heirloom on your hand. Why would he leave a family member in the lurch?โ€

Rachel and Tyler exchanged glances, not expecting to be rescued from their desperate situation this way.

She was ready to bear full responsibility for the damages done and didnโ€™t expect Thomas Lewis to be willing to fork out the money for her.

Rachelโ€™s gaze landed on the acquisition agreement. She immediately snatched it.

โ€œApologies, Mr. Jones, but weโ€™re not selling the company anymore.โ€

When Rachel and Tyler walked out of Dingham Corporationโ€™s office building, Rachel thought even the air smelled sweeter.

With the check in hand, she immediately gave Hannah a call.

Hannah thought Rachel was calling to plead for mercy because she was unable to raise the funds.

โ€œWell, well, well, Rachel. You couldnโ€™t raise the funds, right? If you really canโ€™t, just tell me. You can kneel and beg me, and I might give you a few more days,โ€ Hannah gloated.
