From the corner of her eyes, Samantha spotted cars roaring on the road. A wicked idea popped into her mind.

Rachel could hear hurried footsteps behind her the moment she walked away. Before she could turn around to see who it was, she saw Samantha’s hand stretching toward her back, hatred brimming in her eyes.

“Go to hell, Rachel!”

Samantha pushed with all her might, but Rachel tilted her body sideways and took a step back. She didn’t move much, but it was enough to avoid the hard shove that Samantha was preparing.

The moment Samantha missed, she lost balance and lurched forward a few steps.

“Ah!” Samantha yelped; she stepped on a stone on the pavement and fell onto the road.

Just then, a car sped down the road. The driver barely had enough time to react as he quickly slammed the brake hard. A loud thud sounded in the air.

Samantha’s body flew out over a meter as she crashed on the ground.

When Rachel recovered and saw the scene before her, her eyes widened and her heart raced.

She was merely avoiding Samantha’s attack. She never wanted to see something bad happen to Samantha.

Many people started crowding around the road. Before Rachel could wrap her mind around what was going on, she felt someone wrap an arm around her shoulder.

She looked up, panic-stricken, only to see Tyler standing next to her.

He had a worried frown on his face as he looked at Rachel.

“Are you alright?”

“I…I’m fine, but Samantha…”

Tyler grabbed her shoulders and turned her around, whispering into her ear, “Get into the car. I’ll have Yale come over right away to deal with the situation. Don’t be anxious.”

Her fear subsided at the sight of Jerry, but fear still lingered in her heart.

“Jerry… What are you doing here?”

“Mr. Hunt informed me that Samantha got into a car accident. He asked me to keep you company. Rachel, don’t be scared…”

Jerry handed her a water bottle he had prepared for her.

“Drink some water and calm down. Tell me what happened.”

Tyler’s hands rested on his waist as he looked at Samantha lying on the ground. From the looks of it, she could probably survive the ordeal, but he wasn’t sure if she had broken any bones.

He looked around the scene and saw a surveillance camera on his right, and heaved a sigh of relief.

As long as there was surveillance footage, they would have evidence no matter what Samantha said after she woke up. He was worried that there wouldn’t be a surveillance camera around, and Samantha might accuse Rachel of pushing her onto the road. That would only bring them more trouble.

Rachel was now pregnant. Xavier had reminded him time and time again to keep her in a good mood and not agitate her.
