"I contacted Dr. Elias just yesterday. He said that at the last follow-up check, he found that the tumor has significantly reduced in size. As long as she gets ample rest, it’s not a problem for her to attend the wedding.”

Jerry paused, then went on, “I’ve checked in with the hotel. They’ll arrange a lounge area for her that’s near the banquet venue. They will even prepare a wheelchair in case she needs it.”

“That’s great. You sound like you’re getting used to working here. Feel free to ask Yale if you need any help.”

Ever since Rachel got pregnant, her workload had reduced. Tyler had even begun taking over oversight of Lloyd Enterprise’s operations.

Jerry naturally started working for Tyler. He had learned a lot from it.

“I’m adjusting very well. Thank you for being patient with me, Mr. Hunt.”

“Alright, that’s all for now.”

The second Tyler hung up, he saw Rachel leaving the washroom. She was drying her hair with a towel, dressed in loose-fitting cotton pajamas. Water dripped down the ends of her hair onto her collarbone.

She looked at the phone in Tyler’s hand and asked, “Who are you calling? Still discussing work at this hour?”

“Nothing, just running through the wedding things with Jerry.”

Tyler drew close to Rachel, picked up the hairdryer and started drying her hair carefully. “Are you tired? We were running around the entire day. Shall I give you a leg massage?”

“No need, thank you. I’m still full of energy right now.”

Rachel leaned into his embrace, feeling at peace as she heard the hairdryer buzzing in her hair.

“The old man said he’ll be discharged tomorrow and can attend our wedding. He even wanted to give us his antique timepiece that he’s been keeping all this while as our wedding gift. He said he wanted to give us many things, but I rejected him,” Tyler said.

“Why not? It’s a token of his love and regard for you,” Rachel said.

Tyler was naturally happy to see Thomas treating Rachel so well.

The Lewis family had been prejudiced against her back when she was married to William. Tyler had looked into things and knew that Rachel tried changing to cater to their preferences, but the Lewis family never liked her.

Thomas' act of gifting Rachel his prized possession was a sign that the Lewis family was finally accepting her.

However, it didn’t matter to Tyler whether Thomas genuinely accepted Rachel or not. Even if Thomas didn’t, he had set his mind on marrying Rachel. Whatever happened, he would never let her suffer the slightest injustice after marrying him.

Rachel was already very content.

“We have everything we need, and very soon, we’ll even have our own child. That’s enough for me. I don’t really care about the house we stay in. Your father is already giving us many things. We’ll look greedy if we ask for too much.”

Tyler pinched Rachel’s plump cheeks. At her second month of pregnancy, she was finally growing slightly plumper with his efforts in trying to feed her well.

“What are you scared of? As Tyler Hunt’s wife, you should learn to be shameless. You’ve been in business circles for so many years. Do you really need me to teach you?”

Any businessman or salesperson knew that in fighting for a deal, pride and dignity often meant nothing and might even get in their way of closing a deal. With time, being shameless became part of their nature.

Rachel pinched Tyler’s cheek as well and teased, “Yeah, you’re really shameless.”
