Chapter 197: Bravery
The island, surrounded by a pounding sea, boasted attractive scenery. A luxurious mansion, a yacht, fine champagne, and beautiful women catered to the wealthy. For the first time, Lia found herself less disdainful of the rich.
She adopted a charming expression, grabbed Leonard’s hand, and said, “I’ve decided. I want to be friends with you!”
Leonard held her hand, raising an eyebrow. “Friends are fleeting. But if you were my girlfriend, this entire island could be yours.”
“The idea of being your girlfriend is terrifying!” Lia snatched her hand back in disgust.
Leonard disliked her reaction. “What’s with that disgusted look?”
Lia didn't answer. Giggling, she kicked off her shoes and stepped into the water.
The island’s heat soon had Bella sweating. She wanted to cool off in the water and, thankfully, had brought swimwear. However, their luggage was already in the mansion, so she had to go there to change.
The mansion's proximity to the beach was convenient, so Bella went alone. A maid led her to her room. “Here’s your room, Ms. Jones. Let me know if you need anything.”
Bella thanked her, entered, and closed the door. As she removed her shirt, someone burst in. Startled, she instinctively covered herself and turned. Relief washed over her when she saw Dominic. “What are you doing?”
He approached, wrapping an arm around her waist and leaning close. “Who gave you the courage to claim you’re my sister?”
Bella panicked briefly but remained composed. She knew this confrontation was inevitable. She smiled. “What else could I have said? That we’re strangers? We arrived together; no one would believe that. Besides, I’m covered in sweat. Are you sure you want to hold me like this?”
Dominic tightened his grip, pressing her against him. Her breath hitched as she looked into his eyes. She tried to wriggle free. “Let go of me!”
Dominic spun her around, pinning her arms behind her back, and pulled her onto the nearby bed.

Bella lay uncomfortably on her stomach. Hearing the rustling of clothes, she struggled, but her restrained hands rendered her efforts futile.
Dominic forced himself upon her, making her lift her chin. Her body stiffened as she panted.
“Relax,” he said, his voice hoarse with desire.
Bella resisted. Dominic's recent behavior was troubling, but she remained mindful of his health. Her stiffness caused him to sweat. Sweat dripped from his nose onto her back, creating a sensual image. Losing patience, he released her hands, forcing her to her knees. When they finally left the bedroom, Bella was disheveled. Leonard, noticing Bella's state, immediately understood. He winked at Dominic.
Bella was mortified. The encounter had left her unsuitable for swimming, so she put on a long dress and shawl.
Lia, unhappy with Bella’s attire, exclaimed, “What the hell? Let’s go swimming!”
