Chapter 461: Do Not Want to Share a Bed With Another Guy

Leonard, Dominic, and Bella were all stunned.

Without hesitation, Dominic responded, "No!"

Dune asked, "Why not? Aren't our families well-matched? Are you unhappy with Les? I have two other sons, so you're free to choose any one of them! I took a liking to your younger sister from the moment I laid eyes on her!" Dominic posted, "No." This time, his tone was even firmer.

Leonard whispered urgently to Dune outside, "Cut it out, Mom! Bella's not just Dominic's younger sister! Can't you read the room? Also, please don't say our families are a good match. Bella doesn't know"

Dune was taken aback. "So, you're telling me that the Millers might take Bella in as their foster daughter? So, they basically treated her as their future daughter-in-law? And, after being with them all that time, she doesn't know anything about the Miller family's background?"

Leonard massaged his temples. "I mean, you can put it that way if you want, but just don't stir up any more trouble! Also, you can forget about making her your daughter-in-law; that's never going to happen. Bella really doesn't know anything about the Miller family's background. She's young, so don't scare her. Just stay out of it and keep an eye on your husband, okay?"

The two of them whispered among themselves outside. Bella couldn't tell what they were saying, but she could tell that things were pretty awkward between her and Dominic. Glancing at the clock, she realized it was almost time to get off work, so she said, "I'll be leaving now." Bella nodded and smiled as she said goodbye to Leonard and Dune on her way out. She could feel Dune's gaze on her, so she practically ran out of the hospital. Completely worn out from the day, Bella couldn't be bothered to cook when she got home. Since Dawn wasn't coming home for dinner, she settled for a simple bowl of instant noodles before retiring to bed.

In the middle of the night, she felt someone climb into her bed. She thought she was dreaming, yet she could feel smooth skin and an Adam's apple when she reached out. Bella jolted awake in an instant and tried to pull her hand back, but her wrist was quickly grabbed. A deep voice murmured. Bella realized it was Dominic, and the smell of alcohol on his breath made her uneasy. She was silent for a moment before asking quietly, "Why are you here? Don't you have your own room?"

He released her hand and shifted to lie flat. "Leonard's sleeping in my room, and I don't want to share a bed with another guy."

"Oh, so Leonard was here," she thought. Bella figured that was an acceptable reason.

With someone else beside her, Bella was too out of it to go back to sleep. She shifted around, attempting to ignore his presence. The bed in the guest room wasn't as big as the one in the master bedroom, so no matter how much she shifted, she couldn't completely ignore him.

After putting up with it for a while, she was about to get up and go to the couch when he wrapped his arms around her waist, causing her heart to skip a beat. Bella held her breath, staring wide-eyed at the dark ceiling. Her mind raced.

All of a sudden, he inched closer, continuing to hold her within his embrace, while his cold lips and warm breath brushed against the nape of her neck. Her whole body shuddered, and she pressed her hand against his chest. "Please, stop"
