Chapter 55: His Threats

Dominic stressed the time, as if to say he had seen Bella and Andrell embracing. For some reason, she felt anxious, as if caught red-handed. However, she hadn't done anything wrong.

Bella tried to remain calm and planned to return to her room to avoid him. However, as soon as she took a couple of steps, his commanding voice rang out. "Come back!" Bella stopped dead in her tracks. "I'm not going back!"

He rose from his seat and looked at her coldly. "You don't get to choose. Of course, you want Felix to disappear from this world!"

"Are you threatening me? Who are you to dictate my life? I've already left Miller Manor, so we have nothing to do with each other! Even if we did have something, it's debt."

Ignoring her protests, he picked up his phone and made a call. As soon as the call connected, he said, "Bring her back to Joviel."

Bella thought he was insane and stormed back to her room, slamming the door shut and locking it. She thought this would prevent an argument and allow them to talk things over once she calmed down.

However, fifteen minutes later, her bedroom door swung open. Bella had forgotten this was Dominic's house, and he had keys to every door. Several men in black suits and sunglasses barged in and immediately began packing her belongings. Dumbfounded, she couldn't move.

Bella recognized some of them; they were the Sawyer family's men. Leonard was among them.

Once her things were packed, Leonard walked up to her and said, "Let's go, Bella. You're going back to Joviel with Dominic."

Tears welled up in her eyes as she stubbornly said, "I'm not going back!"

Leonard sighed in resignation and motioned to a tall, burly man. He immediately restrained her. No matter how violently she thrashed or screamed, he wouldn't let go. (The website promotion has been removed.)

After arriving downstairs, she was shoved into a car, and Leonard followed. Dominic didn't join them, probably because he didn't want to deal with her meltdown.

Bella desperately tried to get out of the car. "Let go of me! Why are you helping him, Leonard? What gives him the right to treat me like this?"

Leonard pushed her back into her seat. "Please, just stay put, alright? I can't do anything. You've been with him for so many years, you should know what he's like. If he wants something, there's nothing he can't do to get it. So, just comply, or else If anything happens to Felix, you'll be—"

Bella fell silent, realizing Dominic and the Sawyer family were in cahoots, and the Sawyers were notoriously difficult to deal with. If anything happened to Felix, she knew the world wouldn't be able to forgive her.

Noticing she'd calmed down, Leonard heaved a sigh of relief and then said, "Be honest with me—what's your relationship with this Felix?"

Still seething with anger, she refused to speak.

"It's making this harder than it needs to be. Just tell me there's nothing going on between you and him."

Leonard was so anxious he wanted to tear his hair out. "Come on, please don't make this hard. Let me help you clear things up with Dominic. Everything will be fine then, won't it?"

Her voice was trembling as she questioned, "Why should I explain anything to him? Tell me, what have I ever been to him?"

"Leonard Sawyer, you've never loved someone so deeply, so you'll never understand what it's like. I just don't want to live that way anymore, not in Miller Manor. If you have an ounce of decency left, you should understand!"
