Chapter 81: Here to Pick Up My Girlfriend
Seeing the two about to fight, Simon left the car, shouting, "Enough!"
Elaine yanked her hand away. "This is your child with someone else. You deal with her! She's so stubborn, it's infuriating. If nothing else works, I'll just buy a kidney. How much could a kidney cost?"
Simon looked embarrassed, his eyes darting around as he looked at Bella. "Bella, I'm so sorry, but you need to tell us what you want. Just make sure you give your sister a kidney, okay? My health is failing, and my numbers aren't good enough for a transplant."
Bella remained silent, feeling no emotion. She knew Simon could donate a kidney, but his wife wouldn't. Regardless, she wouldn't agree.
She coldly glanced away and walked toward the parking lot. Simon quickly intervened. "Bella, please tell us what you need. Your sister—"
Bella silently tried to walk past him, repeatedly stopped. "She can't wait any longer!"
Suddenly, a black Rolls-Royce sped out of the parking lot. Startled, Simon left Bella and ran after it.
The car smoothly stopped in front of her. She looked at him through the window, a cold smile playing on her lips. They say even a tiger doesn't eat its young, but in a dangerous situation, Simon only cared about saving himself. For that alone, she wouldn't get involved. He didn't deserve it.
The car window rolled down, and Dominic stared sternly at Simon.
Simon was startled. "Mr. Miller? How are you here?"
Bella, recognizing the car, had only stayed because of it. She wanted to go home and continued walking toward the parking lot. Suddenly, she heard Dominic say, "I'm here to pick up my girlfriend. Is there something you need from her, Mr. Kennedy?"
Bella stopped abruptly, turning to Dominic in disbelief. His expression was natural, devoid of lies.
Elaine and Simon were stunned. They'd always believed Bella lived a miserable life as a maid in the Miller family. They never expected her to be Dominic's girlfriend. "Mr. Miller, are you joking?" Elaine asked, regaining her composure as if she'd heard a funny joke.
Dominic frowned slightly. "What do you mean?"
Elaine glanced at Bella with disdain. "Everyone knows her mother was a homewrecker, but you're still young. How could you fall for someone like her?"
Simon's face turned green. He scolded in a low voice, "What are you talking about?"
Elaine remained unruffled. "I'm telling the truth, Simon. Your ex-lover, who broke up your parents' marriage to get into the Miller family, now has her child involved with your son. She's quite something!" Frost covered Dominic's eyes as his fingers tightened on the steering wheel.
Humiliated, Bella was about to speak when Dominic reversed and sharply turned the car toward Elaine.
Bella gasped as Elaine screamed and fell, her face pale with fright. The car stopped inches from her. Any closer, and it would have hit her.
Terrified, Simon crouched to protect Elaine. "Mr. Miller, we were mistaken. My wife speaks too freely. Please forgive us. We'll leave and won't trouble Bella again, I promise."
Dominic looked at them coldly, his eyes chilling. "Get lost!"
