Before the words had finished, a shadow loomed before her, and a kiss landed on the corner of her lips.

“Come back early,” Winford said, his tone both domineering and gentle.

Ophelia was taken aback for a moment, and the next instant her face turned bright red.

“I… I knew it!”

Before she finished speaking, she quickly ran away, pulling her cousin along.

As she stepped out the door, Ophelia quickly turned back to take a look. When she saw that the man was no longer in sight, she let out a sigh of relief.

“Poof!” Lenora suddenly laughed out loud.

As Ophelia turned her head, she saw her covering her mouth, unable to suppress the laughter in her eyes.

Ophelia: “What are you laughing at!”

“Cousin and her husband were so loving!” Lenora teased.

“…Who did you learn to be bad from?!” Ophelia pretended to pinch her face.

Lenora was so scared that she hurriedly ran forward.

Upstairs, in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, Winford was on the phone, with one hand tucked into his pocket, listening to the laughter of the girls playing below. His gaze closely followed the graceful and lively figure, and the corners of his lips unconsciously lifted.

After Ophelia took her cousin out the door, the two of them headed straight to the mall, intending to buy some clothes.

After looking at two pieces of clothing, Lenora happened to glance upstairs and immediately pulled Ophelia.

“Cousin, let’s go take a look at the wedding dresses! There were so many upstairs!”

“Wedding dress?” Ophelia was stunned.

“Yeah, you and your cousin’s husband probably haven’t taken your wedding photos yet, right?” Lenora said with some anticipation.

She and Winford, of course, did not have them. They didn’t even have a wedding; they only got a marriage certificate.

She glanced upstairs and couldn’t help but feel a stir in her heart. “Alright, let’s go take a look,” she said.

The entire floor above was filled with wedding dresses. The thought of taking wedding photos with Winford made Ophelia’s heart race.

At that moment, Lenora’s expression changed, and she exclaimed excitedly, “Cousin! Look over there—”

Ophelia followed her gaze and immediately saw several familiar figures; it was Erin and Bessie, as well as Xander!

“My brother was accompanying Bessie to choose a wedding dress?!” Lenora exclaimed, feeling extremely angry.

Ophelia’s gaze turned cold for a moment, and she tugged at her lips. “Let’s go, we should check it out too,” she said.

In front of that wedding dress shop, besides Erin, Bessie, and Xander, there were several ladies of lesser social standing who were surrounding Erin and Bessie, flattering them. Erin listened with a beaming smile, while Bessie appeared shy. Meanwhile, the cool and handsome Xander stood to the side, supporting her.

As Ophelia walked over with Lenora, they noticed it.

“Ophelia, Nora, what are you doing here?” Erin was in a great mood, as her daughter was about to become Xander’s fiancée.

Ophelia didn’t pay her any attention and only looked at Xander.

“Cousin, did you really want to get engaged to Bessie? Were you sure that you really knew what kind of person she was?”

As soon as those words were spoken, before Xander could say anything, Bessie’s eyes turned red, and she said with tears in her eyes, “Ophelia, I know you hate me, but I am still your sister. Can’t you bear to see me like this? Why do you have to repeatedly slander me in front of Xander?”
