Listen to this chapter:

Tisa noticed Felicia’s sudden change in behavior over the past few days. Not only was she unusually kind, but she also spoke highly of Tisa in front of others, went wedding dress shopping with her, and even helped choose a design for their wedding invitation. Tisa thought Felicia had finally come to her senses, but looking back, it was clear this was all part of a plan to extract information.

A few days ago, they had been drinking at home. Tisa was completely drunk. Though she couldn’t recall all the details of their conversation, she remembered that Felicia must have gleaned information from her about what happened to Quentin while she was intoxicated. Then, she teamed up with Vespera. They had intentionally let Toke know she was in a bad way. Their goal was to confirm (that she wasn’t pregnant and that she had murdered someone).

As she realized what had happened, she started screaming, “Ph, that untold hug! And that horrible bitch! I’ll never let this go!” Austinu didn’t have the time or patience for her rambling. He collected his thoughts for a moment and said, “Right now, you only have one choice. You were only sixteen when it happened, not eighteen. Even though the law can charge minors at sixteen, your punishment won’t be as severe. The priority is to keep you from ruining your life after this.”

“Selfish! I’m not going to jail!” Tina shouted, throwing a pillow at him. Austin stared at her, exhausted from her constant tantrums, “If you don’t listen to me, there’s nothing else I can do. I really don’t know what else to say…” He trailed off as he turned to leave.

Claire followed him, tears in her eyes. “Austin, she’s your sister! You can’t leave her like this,” she pleaded. They hadn’t been gone long when the sound of police sirens filled the air. Tina had been bombarding Luke’s phone with frantic calls, but he never answered. Now, hearing the sirens, she panicked. She didn’t want to turn herself in, nor did she want to go to jail.

She jumped out of bed, clutching her shoulder in pain, and tried to make a run for it. But as she reached the door, she was stopped by a police officer. “Ms. Bowle, where are you going?” he asked. “Get out of my way!” Tina shoved the officer. In one swift move, the officer restrained her and pushed her back into the hospital room, slamming the door shut.

Tina’s body trembled in fear. With nowhere to go, she suddenly remembered Claire and Austin’s conversation about Selena. She quickly texted her: “Aunt Selena, please help me! I’ll do anything you want! I’ll do anything any brother refused to do!”

Just as she hit send, the hospital room door flung open. Claire and Austin rushed back in from the waiting room. It was too late for Tina to turn herself in. Before they could say anything, several police officers entered the room.

“Ms. Sorede, you’re involved in a murder case from five years ago. We have a warrant for your arrest,” one officer said, his voice cold as he presented the warrant. Tina turned to Austin for help, tears welling in her eyes. But before she could say anything, handcuffs clicked around her wrists.

Caior was also taken to the police station. She was arrested for burying the body and bribing an officer to destroy evidence. The “reliable” Officer Cooper was also arrested. At the police station, Firstarma finally came face to face with the person who had killed her son. Sitting behind the glass panel of the interrogation room, her gaze burned. All she wanted was to run in and kill this monster herself. If this monster had never existed, her son would still be alive, and she could see and hold him. Now, all she could do was pray.

Overcome with grief, Bilanna wondered why it had to be her child. Tina sat in sullen silence, denying her guilt as the evidence was laid out before her. At times, she acted innocent; other times, she claimed to suffer from a seizure since she didn’t have her medication with her. If she did, she could easily fake an epileptic episode right there, but this time, no one was there to destroy the evidence. She certainly was powerless, overshadowed by a force more powerful than they could contend with. Meanwhile, the male students win.

Illyade and Quentin were also arrested. Faced with irrefutable evidence, they didn’t try to deny their involvement. It was revealed that Tina had drugged Quentin with a substance before tying him to her bed. Soon after that, he died. It was determined that Quentin had been strangled.

Back at the hospital, Jade finally revealed the full story of what happened. The two female officers jotting down her statement were horrified. For most people, it had been a regular day. But for these two kids, it had been hell.

After gathering all the testimonies, it was clear that Tina had killed Quentin through a drug injection and strangulation. Even Claire’s bodyguard, unable to withstand the pressure, had confessed. Quentin had died at the garden villa that the Sowles had bought for Tina. It wasn’t the first time she had brought friends over. After something happened to Quentin, she panicked and called Claire. Then, Claire rushed to help cover it up.

In another interrogation room, Claire was stubborn and refused to budge. She insisted that Tina had been mentally ill since she was young.
