Chapter 219

“Whatever amount you want,” Griffin said casually.

Griffin knew that any deal with Cassian would never be a loss.

“Then I’ll just transfer Yinsen’s investment to you instead,” Cassian said like it was no big deal.

He made it sound simple, but Yinsen totally freaked out. He shot up from his beach chair. “Cassian, I’m sorry! I’m really, really sorry!”

Cassian just stared at Yinsen without saying a word.

Griffin was used to this – Cassian getting pissed wasn’t exactly rare. Though it seemed like ever since he’d gotten together with Anastasia, his explosive moments had decreased significantly.

Love really did mellow people out.

“Come on, quit scaring him. The poor guy’s about to cry,” Griffin told Cassian.

“Are you out of your damn mind? I’m not gonna cry!” Yinsen snapped back at Griffin.

He looked ready to throw hands with Griffin.

But Cassian’s attention was completely captured by a figure in the distance.

It was Anastasia!

Even though she was just learning, she was already standing steady on the board. Sure, she was still holding the rope, but her expression was totally calm – almost cool as she gazed ahead, looking absolutely badass.

“Holy shit! Anastasia’s killing it! She just started today, right? And she’s already got it down?”

“Wait a minute… she reminds me of someone…”

Yinsen said this while looking at Cassian.

Cassian was basically his living nightmare – the guy who’d been crashing everyone since childhood!

Whether it was academics or any other skill, Cassian was just naturally gifted beyond belief.

Yinsen and Griffin were constantly getting shown up and compared to him by their parents, then getting their asses chewed out.

When they’d all learned wakesurfing together, Cassian had picked it up instantly. After just a few tries, he was riding the waves hands-free like a pro.

Yinsen and Griffin had assumed he’d secretly practiced beforehand, but Cassian denied it.

If they didn’t know his character so well, they would’ve thought he was lying.

“You two are absolutely terrifying!”

Cassian smirked. “Obviously.”

Shameless bastard, Yinsen thought.

Suddenly, Cassian stood up and headed toward the water.

Yinsen rushed after him. “You’re not actually pulling my funding, are you?”

“We’ll see,” Cassian said.

Chapter 219

Yinsen looked like he was about to cry. He slapped himself in the mouth. “Why can’t you just shut up?”

Griffin watched Yinsen with amusement. “Dude, you’re wasting your talent not doing stand-up comedy. Where else would your mouth be if not on your face? Down south?”

Yinsen kicked Griffin’s ass. “I already have a mouth down there, don’t you? How else do you take a piss? Same hole for everything?”

When Griffin realized what he meant, he chased after Yinsen to beat him up. “Yinsen, you’re disgusting!”

Meanwhile, Cassian had already reached the shoreline.

The moment Anastasia stepped off the boat, Cassian reached out and grabbed her hand.

Her legs were shaky, and she fell against his chest. “Thanks.”

This was her first time wakesurfing and it had been absolutely thrilling – so much so that her legs felt like jelly when she got back to shore…

Who would’ve guessed that all that confident wave-riding had been pure acting!

Thank God Cassian showed up, or she would’ve face-planted in front of everyone.

“Don’t say thanks.”

Cassian looked at her, and Anastasia blushed slightly. “Okay, okay,” she said shyly.

Just then, Tamia jumped down and landed perfectly.

“I’m not gonna be the third wheel here. Peace out!” she said.

“Tamia, wait! Let’s go shower and change together,” Anastasia called out.

Tamia glanced at Cassian, about to decline, but Anastasia had already linked arms with her and was pulling her away.

Soon they’d changed clothes and came back out.

That’s when some guy emerged from the men’s changing room next door, wearing black swim trunks and sporting a massive beer belly that looked like he was carrying twins.

“Ms. Summer?” The man spotted Tamia and lit up with excitement. “What a coincidence running into you here! Must be fate!”

When Tamia saw him, her face twisted with disgust. Just my luck running into this creep!

Anastasia noticed Tamia’s expression change and whispered, “You know this guy?”

Regardless of whether they knew each other, this man gave off serious predator vibes, so she wanted to get Tamia out of there.

Tamia nodded reluctantly and whispered back, “That’s Jack. Total pervert. Whenever we do business with him, he’s always grabbing and groping people.”

Anastasia’s face darkened. Please tell me Tamia didn’t get assaulted by this old creep.

Tamia could tell what Anastasia was thinking. “Our company’s pretty good about it. They know what he is so they only send men to deal with him. But looking at him now, he’s clearly not giving up.”

“Let’s get out of here.”

“Yeah.”

That’s when Jack noticed Anastasia next to Tamia, and his eyes lit up like Christmas morning.

Tamia was already a prize, but her friend was even better!

Chapter 219

Anastasia was absolutely stunning—perfect body, gorgeous face. Getting a piece of that would be incredible.

Jack deliberately positioned himself in front of both women, blocking their path. “As the old saying goes, fate brings people together across a thousand miles.”

Anastasia and Tamia exchanged glances, both thinking Who the hell wants to meet this pervert across any distance?

They quickly tried to dodge around him.

But despite looking out of shape, Jack moved surprisingly fast and grabbed the hem of Tamia’s shirt. “Ms. Summer, is this how you treat clients? Not even saying hello when you see one?”

Tamia had no choice but to turn around and face Jack. “Oh, hi Jack. What a coincidence.”

Jack gave a disgusting grin. “Yeah, isn’t it?”

He kept gripping Tamia’s shirt while moving closer and closer, almost pressing against her body.

Every cell in Tamia’s body was screaming in revulsion.

“Let go of her!” Anastasia shouted.

Jack looked at Anastasia, watching her chest rise and fall with anger, and his eyes practically bugged out.

“Sure, if you come over here instead.”

“I’m calling the cops,” Anastasia said coldly.

Jack looked completely unbothered – he was getting both of them today no matter what!

“Go ahead and call them. I’d love to see who the police believe – me or you two!”

“She’s Cassian Rhodes’s wife! You know, the CEO of Rhodes Global!” Tamia glared at Jack with pure fury. The disgusting creep actually wanted to assault Anastasia too?

Jack just paused for a second, then started laughing.
