Listen to this chapter:

This was mortifying! Cassian’s eyes immediately went dark with want as he squeezed her hand, his voice coming rough. “Ana, I’m absolutely mad about you.”

Anastasia nodded, her stomach full of butterflies, but knowing she was done running from her feelings. Cassian didn’t say another word, just pulled her close and kissed her deeply. His warm breath on her skin sent electric shivers everywhere. Cassian kissed her like he’d been starving for it, all that pent-up desire finally breaking free.

Anastasia’s heart was pounding, going crazy as her hands found his shoulders, kissing him back with everything she had. Their breathing got all mixed up together, the air between them charged and heavy. Cassian’s hands traced along her spine, his touch burning through her clothes, making her whole body respond. Her mind went completely blank—nothing existed except him and these overwhelming feelings.

“Ana,” Cassian breathed her name against her lips, his voice wrecked. He rested his forehead on hers, both of them breathing hard. “Tell me you want this too.”

Anastasia looked up into his eyes, seeing nothing but tenderness and raw need there. She bit her lip and whispered, “I want this… I want you.”

Something shifted in Cassian’s expression as he kissed her again, deeper this time, like he was claiming her. It left Anastasia dizzy and weightless, completely surrendering to him. Cassian’s hands found her waist and he lifted her easily, their mouths never breaking apart. Anastasia gasped softly, her arms wrapping around his neck as he carried her, her heart racing with anticipation and nerves.

“Cass,” she whispered against his mouth, vulnerable and trusting. “I’ve got you, baby. Always,” his voice was pure velvet, making her feel safe and wanted. He carried her to their bedroom like she was something precious, kicking the door closed behind them.

The room was bathed in soft moonlight as he set her down gently, his hands framing her face. “We can take this slow,” he murmured, reading the mix of desire and nervousness in her eyes. Anastasia’s cheeks were flushed pink, but she reached up to touch his face. “I trust you completely.”

Cassian’s smile was soft and devastating as he kissed her again, pouring all his feelings into it. Anastasia melted into him, letting herself feel everything she’d been holding back. The night wrapped around them as they discovered each other, every touch and whispered word building something beautiful between them.

When morning came, Anastasia woke up tangled with Cassian, his arms wrapped securely around her. She could feel his steady breathing, still deep in sleep, and smiled at how peaceful he looked. She tried to slip out quietly, but his arms just tightened around her.

“No… it’s Saturday,” Cassian mumbled sleepily, his voice gravelly from sleep as he pulled her back against his chest. “Stay right here.”

Anastasia’s heart fluttered as she settled back into his warmth, feeling completely content. Last night had changed everything between them, and she couldn’t imagine being anywhere else. This felt perfect—like they’d finally found their way to each other.
