Chapter 1004
Even if she had to leave, Judy didnโt want to owe him anything.
She still needed to handle the aftermath properly.
With that in mind, she glanced at Brian from the corner of her eye.
He still hadnโt let up, staring at her with that blank, unmoving gaze.
Judy was growing impatient. She couldnโt help but raise her voice. โAre you just going to keep staring at me like that?โ
โDonโt you have anything else to do?โ
At her words, Brian actually looked a little hurt.
He lowered his head slightly and mumbled, โRight now, watching you is my most important task. Judy, you donโt understand how much I love you. I canโt leave you. I canโt bear the thought of you leaving.โ
Judy rolled her eyes internally.
There was no way she could believe a word coming out of his mouth.
Not to mention, he wasnโt even good-looking, just average, with acne on his face that made her feel queasy.
And she had far more important things to take care of. She didnโt have time to waste on Brianโs endless drama.
It was a complete waste of time.
She frowned and said, โI already gave you my word, so Iโll follow through. But standing here watching me isnโt helping. You should go do your own work.โ
Hearing this, Brianโs expression turned slightly dangerous.
โSo, youโre trying to get rid of me?โ
He suddenly laughed. โI may like you, but Iโm not stupid. I know exactly what Iโm doing. But even if I love you, I wonโt lose my sense of boundaries.
โYouโd better be honest and take care of canceling the trip abroad. Then weโll find a place and start a good life together.โ
At that, Judy started trembling with rage.
The thought of living with this man made her vision go black.
She glanced at the clock beneath the computer screen, anxiety rising in her chest.
What if Kenneth didnโt pick up on her message?
She couldnโt possibly let Brian have his way.
What would happen to the rest of her life then?
โWhy donโt you calm down a bit and we talk this through properly?โ
Judy raised a hand to pinch the bridge of her nose, irritation building steadily inside her.
She never expected someone she trusted so closely to turn.
It genuinely caught her off guard.
Everything had seemed fine before. In fact, she had to admit that this man had worn his mask extremely well.
Not even a hint had slipped through.
But now, the sudden outburst left her completely unprepared.
Her mind was racing, frantically trying to come up with a solution.
Sitting back and doing nothing just wasnโt her style.
Brian, however, was growing more agitated. He glared at Judy and began closing in on her, placing both hands on either side of her chair.
โLetโs talk?โ
Brian let out a cold laugh. โWhat is there to talk about between us?
โI know exactly what Iโm doing. And even if itโs wrong, Iโd willingly go to hell for you.โ
Judy looked at the crazed expression on his face. Deep down, she was afraid, but she still tried to reason with him.
That way, neither side would have to suffer real consequences.
But this man wouldnโt listen to reason at all. He was completely irrational.
โI never asked you to do any of this!โ
Judy said firmly, โEverything you did was your own choice. Donโt you dare dump your one-sided obsession onto me.โ
Her tone was turning sharper by the second.
