Chapter 1010

โ€œSince you know you were wrong,โ€ Judyโ€™s voice rang out with certainty, โ€œthen letโ€™s call the police. Iโ€™ll tell them everything in detail. And Iโ€™ll also make your actions known across the industry. When that happens, youโ€™ll be blacklisted everywhere. Even if you get out, you wonโ€™t find a job like this again.โ€

At those words, the crowd around her burst into applause and cheers. This was exactly how someone like him should be dealt with.

โ€œIโ€™m with Miss Judy on this one!โ€

โ€œExactly, she just had bad luck running into someone like him.โ€

โ€œI honestly have no idea how he even got into management. I think Iโ€™m more competent than he is.โ€

โ€œRight? Itโ€™s not just about not knowing how to treat peopleโ€“he wasnโ€™t even that great at his job.โ€

โ€œSeriously, how did Miss Judy even pick him in the first place? And she trusted him so much.โ€

โ€œThatโ€™s like giving your loyalty to a dog.โ€

Listening to the voices around him, Brian was stunned. So, this was what his coworkers really thought of him. All along, heโ€™d assumed he had a decent reputation. After all, everyone always seemed respectful, always calling him โ€œMr. Brianโ€ with polite tones because everyone knew Judy valued him highly. That was why they treated him with deference. Their attitude toward Brian had always reflected Judyโ€™s. As long as Judy valued him, everyone would try to stay on his good side. Her position in their eyes still held weight. After all, she was the boss and that meant everything.

In that moment, Brian truly felt a wave of sorrow. He never imagined that after working so hard for so long, he would end up as nothing. To everyone else, heโ€™d always just been an unremarkable nobody, someone they didnโ€™t even care for. That thought alone made Brian feel utterly pathetic.

He pointed to his chest and said to Judy, โ€œIโ€™ve been by your side for so long. Even if I havenโ€™t done much, Iโ€™ve at least worked hard. Do you really think I meant nothing to you at all?โ€

Somewhere in his heart, Brian still clung to a sliver of hope. He wanted Judy to remember their past partnership and show him some leniency. If she did, maybe he wouldnโ€™t have to go to prison. Maybe he could even stay and continue managing the studioโ€”a perfect outcome, wasnโ€™t it? But with just one look, Judy could already see right through what he was thinking. She couldnโ€™t help but find it laughable. So, this was really how some men thought? How had she not noticed it before?

Judy voiced her thought aloud without holding back, โ€œDonโ€™t tell meโ€ฆ you actually think thereโ€™s still something between us?โ€

Brian didnโ€™t quite understand what she meant. He hesitated and said, โ€œIsnโ€™t there? I mean, I was your most reliable business partner, wasnโ€™t I? We went through so much together. That canโ€™t have meant nothing, right?โ€

Judy nearly burst out laughing. And others around them couldnโ€™t hold it inโ€“they started laughing too. At first, they just thought Brian was a little slow, but now they saw it clearlyโ€“he was nothing but a complete clown. Even now, after all that, he still thought Judy might forgive him? How ridiculous.

Kenneth listened to Brian ramble on and couldnโ€™t help but feel bored.
