But now, after several calls in a row went unanswered, Ian realized something was off.

“I just wanted to let your manager know—when he has a moment, could he please return our call?”

The secretary took note of the message and nodded. “Alright, don’t worry. Once our boss returns, I’ll be sure to pass it along.”
