Chapter 1174
โAurora, what should we call the studio?โ
Megan scrolled through her phone, her expression caught somewhere between thoughtful and frustrated. โHonestly, ever since you mentioned starting one, Iโve been brainstorming names, but nothing feels right.โ
She sighed, clearly exasperated. Megan really was hopeless when it came to naming things.
โI havenโt figured it out either. Iโve just been throwing myself into the idea of actually starting the studio.โ Aurora mirrored her friendโs conflicted look.
In the end, both of them had been tripped up by something as simple as coming up with a name.
Megan kept swiping on her phone, unwilling to give up.
They both knew how important a name wasโit could make the studio stand out, draw attention, and set the tone for everything that followed.
Just as the two were at an impasse, Auroraโs phone lit up with a call from Ian.
She picked it up.
โMiss Aurora, Iโve handed in my resignation.โ
Hearing his voice on the other end, Aurora blinked in surprise. โDidnโt I tell you to wait a little longer?โ
She hadnโt expected him to act so quickly.
The studio wasnโt even off the ground yet. What if this hurt Ianโs income in the meantime? Working at Walton Corporation had at least given him stability.
But Ianโs voice was firm with determination.
โMiss Aurora, I want to grow alongside you. Please donโt turn me away. I know the studio isnโt established yet but just being able to work with youโthatโs all Iโve ever wanted.
โI want to watch it rise step by step, and I want to be part of every single one of those steps.โ
Auroraโs chest tightened, her heart softening.
Of course sheโd been right about him. Even now, he was thinking about her studioโs future first.
โAlright then, I just hope you wonโt regret it.โ Auroraโs voice was steady.
โIโd never regret it.โ
Ianโs reply came firm and serious through the line. โMiss Aurora, Iโm not joking. At this point, I mean every word.
โIโve worked under you at Walton Corporation for so longโyou know exactly what kind of person I am. Iโm a man of my word. Since Iโve decided to follow you, I wonโt hesitate. Weโll go all in, together.โ
Aurora pressed her hand to her forehead, a small sigh slipping out.
โDonโt worry, Ian. I wonโt let your trust go to waste. Butโฆ right now, I actually have a problem.โ
Ian froze on the other end. If Aurora couldnโt solve it, then it had to be something bigโsomething difficult.
โMiss Aurora, tell me,โ he urged earnestly. โIf itโs something I can take on, Iโll go through fire and water for you.โ
Even so, he wasnโt certain. If this was beyond Auroraโs reach, how could a small fry like him possibly fix it? Still, he meant every wordโheโd try with everything he had.
Aurora couldnโt help a laugh, both touched and exasperated. Clearly, Ian had misunderstood what she meant.
Megan, nibbling on her dessert, glanced curiously at Aurora. Who exactly was she talking to with that expression?
The next second, Aurora saved her the suspense.
She switched the call to speaker and said matter-of-factly, โIan, Iโm with Megan right now. Sheโs going to be my business partner in the studio.
โThe problem weโre stuck on isโฆ we donโt know what to name it. And since youโre joining us too, Iโm handing this one to you.โ
