“Tell you what, tomorrow you go do the site survey, and I’ll stay at the studio. I doubt I’ll be leaving for the next couple of days.”

Ian didn’t turn down her offer.

When she left the conference room, Aurora saw the two new employees hard at work, and her heart filled with satisfaction.

Unlike many others, they weren’t nosy or fishing for whether the higher-ups had criticized them behind their backs. That alone set them apart from most.

Aurora smiled warmly at them. “Work hard, and when I’m back from filming, your bonuses will be doubled.”

“Thank you, boss!” the two replied in unison.

Aurora understood. While she was away, Ian and the two of them would be the ones working the hardest.

This was the key time to retain talent, and only by doing so could they keep building upward.

After packing up her things, Aurora finally got ready to leave work.

On her way back, she didn’t waste any time and headed straight to the villa, planning to get some proper rest.

“Back already?” Aurora asked naturally.

“Mm,” Lucas responded, wrapping his arms around her waist from behind, resting his chin in the hollow of her neck with ease.

They interacted like a couple who had been together for years.

Aurora found herself liking this rhythm more and more.

She couldn’t help but glance back at him. “What’s this? You just walked in the door and you’re already clinging to me."

“Now?”

Lucas chuckled softly. “Silly, do you know what time it is? Of course I mean tomorrow.”

“But I’m not ready for this,” she admitted nervously.

“What do you need to prepare for?”

Aurora stepped forward, turning to face him directly.

She ran a hand through her hair, smoothed her clothes, visibly anxious. “If I go to meet your father—no, your parents—like this, is it really alright?”

The thought that they were already married made her hastily correct herself.
