“Of course!” Edward said with a laugh. “If I don’t serve you, I don’t feel right. I actually like being ordered around by you.”

Hearing that, Diana grew embarrassed.

“The children are right here—what nonsense are you saying?”

Aurora and Lucas exchanged a glance, both a little flustered.

Aurora wanted to curl her toes into the floor in embarrassment.

The two of them were just so unrestrained.

But Lucas, used to it, chuckled. “I’ve gotten used to it. Nothing unusual about this.”

“I understand too,” Aurora added quickly.

She knew perfectly well that this was simply proof of how much they loved each other.

It was their love that had created such an environment for their son.

The next second, Diana turned to Aurora with a soft smile. “Aurora, don’t mind him. That’s just how your dad is—always playful. I’m used to it.”

“It’s fine, Mom.” Aurora’s smile was sweet. “The two of you love each other so much, I can only envy you.”

“We’ll be like that too,” Lucas added from the side.

As he spoke, his eyes fixed on Aurora, filled with earnestness.

Diana and Edward exchanged a glance, both seeing the same satisfaction mirrored in each other’s eyes.

As long as their children loved one another, nothing else really mattered.

Edward took the lead to steer the conversation. “Aurora, you’re with Walton Corporation, aren’t you?”

“Yes, Dad, how did you know?” Aurora asked in surprise, turning her questioning gaze toward Lucas.

Inwardly, she wondered if he had told them.

Meeting her eyes, Lucas gave a confirming nod.

Of course, coming here to meet his parents, he would have shared her background with them.

Realizing this, Aurora let it go without further comment.

Edward chuckled heartily. “Good thing this brat told me. Otherwise, I would have missed out on such an outstanding daughter-in-law.”

“That’s right,” Diana added quickly. “Your father and I had already heard about your performance on some projects. We’ve picked up quite a bit about your achievements in the circle.”

Edward laughed again, full of pride. “It’s good to see the next generation taking over. We really are getting old.”

Lucas replied calmly, “You’re not old at all. In fact, I think you’re still fit to return to the company while Aurora and I go enjoy our honeymoon.”

“What are you saying?” Aurora whispered, turning her head toward him, her face blooming with pink.

She hadn’t expected him to be so direct.

But what she hadn’t expected was that there was still more to come.
