Aurora’s eyes darted away, clearly unwilling. If it were just the two of them at home, that would have been one thing, but this was their first night back at the family estate. Doing such things here felt far too embarrassing.

Yet Lucas spoke with complete confidence. “Don’t worry, I know what I’m doing.” Then he leaned closer, his breath tickling her ear. “But… if you’re really that worried, you can always keep your voice down, wife.”

“You…!” Aurora’s eyes widened, but before she could get another word out, Lucas silenced her completely. The night stretched on, and their time together was only beginning.

Aurora went from resisting at first to finally closing her eyes and surrendering. Forget it, things had already gone this far. She couldn’t change it, so she might as well give in to Lucas’ will. “By the way, should we head back early tomorrow?” she asked, a note of concern in her voice. This place was too far out. She worried they might not make it to work on time. And besides, the studio really couldn’t be left unattended for long.
