Chapter 1373
โBy the way, what time does Mom usually get up?โ Aurora wanted to say goodbye to Diana.
At her question, Lucas and the servants exchanged awkward looks.
Finally, Lucas rubbed his nose and said, โBetter not wait. Letโs just head back.โ
โWhy not?โ Aurora asked, puzzled. Everyoneโs expression seemed a little strange.
Lucas sighed and explained, โBecause my mom likes to sleep in. Dad stays with her, and the two of them usually donโt get up until noon.โ
Aurora blinked in surprise. But more than that, she felt a pang of admiration. If Diana lived like this, it meant her bond with Edward was truly strong.
โDad really dotes on Mom. Their relationship is wonderful.โ She couldnโt help but sigh, her eyes sparkling like stars.
Lucas spoke with pride. โThe two of us will only be even better than them.โ
Aurora turned, startled by the seriousness in his tone. When she saw there was not even a hint of a joke on his face, her heart swelled with warmth.
She nodded with equal seriousness. โI believe you. You can definitely do it, and weโll work at it together.โ
After breakfast, the two of them set off for the return trip.
Just as Lucas had promised, they werenโt late at all.
In fact, Aurora arrived at the studio ten minutes earlier than usual. The other staff were already there.
The timing couldnโt have been more precise.
She lifted her wrist to glance at her watch, tempted to send Lucas a message just to say his driving skill had been perfect. Even though he drove fast, the ride had been smooth all the way.
As Aurora stepped into the studio, Hannah and Henry greeted her warmly.
Aurora gave a small nod, her smile brighter than ever as the new day began.
Hannah and Henry exchanged a glance; both could see something different about her.
Though she usually wore a smile, todayโs was not the same โ it carried a glow that hinted at something special having happened the day before.
Over time, Hannah had gotten close enough to Aurora to understand her temperament, knowing what she could joke about and what was off-limits.
Seeing her boss in such high spirits, curiosity won out, and she teased, โBoss, did something happen over the weekend?โ
โWhat makes you say that?โ
Aurora, busy tidying the items on her desk, looked up in mild surprise.
โItโs obvious.โ Hannah grinned. โNormally, youโre pleasant with us, but today your mood is so bright it feels like youโd even stop to greet a stray dog on the street.โ
โReally?โ Auroraโs smile tugged wider, impossible to hide. โGo on, get back to work, and stop guessing nonsense.โ
โAlright then,โ Hannah replied respectfully before returning to her seat, her own mood lifted.
Sure enough, when the boss was in good spirits, the staff felt more at ease too.
Even the atmosphere at work today felt lighter than usual.
