Judy’s eyes widened as she gasped, “What do you think you’re doing? Why did you hang up my call? What kind of person would do something like that?"

Kenneth wrapped an arm around her, his smile growing more wicked. “What, you want him to hear how you sound in bed?”

“Why is that?” Judy’s voice trembled slightly. Even so, she forced herself to ask. If it had anything to do with Aurora, she wanted to know. She hoped Aurora would never wake up.

Kenneth found her reaction amusing. “What, do you really hate Aurora that much?”

Judy let out a cold scoff. “Of course I do. I don’t just hate her; I can’t stand her. If she stays unconscious forever, everyone wins.”

Kenneth chuckled. Women really were something else. “You and my sister are two peas in a pod.”

Judy blinked. “She still has feelings for Lucas?” She already had a vague idea of how messy things were between them. It was exhausting to think about all those tangled relationships.

Kenneth nodded. “You really think my sister could get over Lucas that quickly?"

“She just needs time. Trust me, she’s hoping Aurora never wakes up either."
