Chapter 603

Judyโ€™s eyes flickered as she wrapped her arms around Kennethโ€™s neck, coaxing sweetly, โ€œSo tell me, could you maybe do something on Auroraโ€™s endโ€ฆ keep her from ever waking up?โ€

Kenneth nearly collapsed from shock.

โ€œAre you insane?โ€ His voice clearly trembled.

Seeing his reaction, Judyโ€™s eyes narrowed. Something didnโ€™t feel right. Why was Kenneth suddenly acting so afraid of Lucas?

That wasnโ€™t like him at all, especially when it came to things in the bedroomโ€“he was always bold, unrestrained, and full of tricks. Never once had he shown a hint of timidity. But now, he was clearly holding back. It threw Judy off.

Kenneth, trying to steer her attention away, said quickly, โ€œAlright, stop with the nonsense. If thereโ€™s any news on her, Iโ€™ll let you know.โ€ With that, he pressed in, ready for the final push.

Judy, already caught in the moment, closed her lips obediently. But just then, the phone rang again.

Kenneth flinched so hard his whole body jolted. His expression turned grim as he snatched up the phone and saw the screen. It was Joseph calling again.

Judyโ€™s face darkened too. Theyโ€™d been on the verge of finishing, and this man just had to get in the way.

โ€œYour other manโ€™s calling you,โ€ Kenneth said coldly. He ended the call and tossed the phone back at her. Then he stood and began dressing.

After getting interrupted not once but twice, the mood was thoroughly ruined. No one had the patience to keep going after that. No matter how much Kenneth used to enjoy the thrill, he had no interest in continuing now. It just wasnโ€™t fun anymore.

After getting dressed, Judy finally glanced at her phone and saw that Joseph hadnโ€™t just called, heโ€™d also sent a flood of messages. Every single one was demanding an answer.

โ€œWhy arenโ€™t you picking up?โ€

โ€œJudy, what are you doing?โ€

โ€œIs something going on? Whereโ€™s your phone?โ€

โ€œWhy are you still not answering? Where are you?โ€

โ€œIโ€™m coming over right now.โ€

When she read that last line, Judy felt a pounding headache coming on. Didnโ€™t she just send him off not long ago? And now he wanted to come back? She couldnโ€™t take it.

It was giving her a full-blown migraine, especially after just getting through a romp with Kennethโ€“dealing with Josephโ€™s drama was the last thing she had energy for.

Left with no choice, Judy quickly typed out a reply, claiming she had just been asleep. The moment Joseph saw the message, he called again without hesitation. This time, Judy didnโ€™t hang up. Instead, she gave Kenneth a look, signaling him to leave. She couldnโ€™t stand having anyone around while she was on the phone. It was a little awkward, to say the least.

There was still some guilt lingering in Judyโ€™s mind about the whole situation between these two men. Even though Kenneth had tried to ease her worries more than once, she still hadnโ€™t fully gotten used to it. When he met her pleading eyes, Kennethโ€™s tough demeanor softened, and the sharpness in his gaze faded.

Forget it. She had just slept with him, after all. She needed time to adjust. With that thought, Kenneth quietly stepped out of the room. Only then did Judy feel comfortable enough to answer the call. The moment she picked up, Josephโ€™s voice came through, rushed and full of urgency.

โ€œJudy, were you seriously just asleep just now?โ€
