Chapter 179

Luma glanced at Charles and eyed him. Tabella and Celine sat to the side; within three minutes, the bar owner appeared before them. His tailored suit was already messy, and even his tie had come undone, flapping over his shoulder. But Jeffrey Weston didn’t have time to care, running breathlessly to the lounge.

The manager quickly approached Jeffrey, pointing at Charles and his group as he complained. “Mr. Weston, they’re causing trouble here and even hit Mr. Livingston and his friends!” He slightly lifted his chin, flashing a cold smile, looking sardonically at Charles and the others.

How dare they cause trouble at Night Charm Bar. The manager wondered if they were going to pay for what they did today. Seth and his friends held their heads high. He spat to the side and angrily shouted at Charles and his group, “Man, I suggest you bow to us a few times right now, get those women to come over and keep us company, and maybe we’ll let you off easy.”

The group looked at them arrogantly, their gaze resting on Isabella and the other two girls in a creepy, disgusting way. Celine was a bit scared and instinctively held onto Isabella’s clothes tightly. Isabella glanced at her and gently squeezed her hand, comforting her silently.

Luna was so angry her teeth could barely hold still. They even had the nerve to play the victim. Her fists clenched tighter and tighter. She wondered if she hadn’t hit them hard enough earlier.

Jeffrey followed the manager’s direction and immediately spotted Charles sitting on the couch. His expression changed instantly. He pushed the manager aside and walked toward Charles. Everyone was stunned and wondered, “What’s wrong?”

Standing in front of Charles, Jeffrey bowed deeply and respectfully asked, “Mr. Kessler, do you have any orders?” Jeffrey’s heart was pounding uncontrollably. He wondered if Mr. Kessler was upset, whether he might be in serious trouble. Besides, the Kessler family held a prestigious position. Just one word from Charles could make the Weston family vanish from Draxenport. By now, cold sweat had formed on Jeffrey’s forehead as he cautiously watched Charles.

The manager and Seth, along with the others, were stunned. They wondered if this was still the usually lofty and prestigious owner of Night Charm Bar, Jeffrey, whom they saw on a daily basis. Why was he being so respectful to this young man? A few people immediately frowned, a sense of foreboding welling up inside them.

Charles let out a cold chuckle and forcefully kicked the leg of the table. Crash! The loud noise made everyone’s heart skip a beat. With a fierce look, Charles glared at the manager and Seth, and said coldly, “Allowing your men to cause trouble? I think it’s time to shut this bar down!”

Jeffrey’s legs felt like jelly, not daring to question further. He turned around and punched the manager in the face, shouting harshly, “What are you standing there for? Apologize to Mr. Kessler right now!” “How dare he! Why choose to mess with Charles of all people? How did I end up with such a useless manager! Trash!” Jeffrey thought angrily.

The manager was hit so hard he fell to the ground, struggling to get back up, blood already trickling from his nose. It was clear Jeffrey didn’t hold back. Seth and his crew were shocked. They wondered what was going on; did Mr. Weston just mistake the wrong person to target?

Chapter 179

They were used to being arrogant. Seth stared coldly at Jeffrey, pressing him. “Mr. Weston, I got beaten up by your guest. Aren’t you going to give me an explanation!” But Jeffrey looked at Seth with cold eyes and said deeply, “You still want an explanation? This fool almost ruined my business, yet he still dared to ask for an explanation!” Jeffrey thought with disdain.

With a gesture from Jeffrey, a few hired men quickly entered. About a dozen of them, radiating menace, stood before Seth and his crew. “Beat them until they apologize.” Seth was stunned for a moment. What on earth was happening? Everyone was panicking. Even the onlookers were a bit stunned. They wondered just who this big shot was. Clearly, they were the ones being bullied, yet Jeffry was so unreasonable and attacked them. Could it be…? Seth thought to himself.

Seth sobered up quite a bit and quickly stepped forward to grab Jeffrey’s hand, trying to calm the situation. “Mr. Weston, let’s talk this through calmly…” “Get them!” Jeffrey shouted, cutting off Seth’s words and pushing his hand away. “This idiot? Who wants to talk it over with him? Jeffrey wondered. Couldn’t he see that Charles is already very displeased?”

The group of hired thugs didn’t hesitate and launched a full-on attack on Seth and his men. The ongoing cries of pain changed the mood of the entire bar. Isabella pulled Celine aside and just watched coldly. The manager’s legs went weak with fear at the sight. “It’s over,” he thought to himself. He was regretting every decision he made.

Seeing Charles and his group, the manager was in a panic. He wondered who the people were that Mr. Weston protected like this. Seth and his group were lying on the ground, writhing in pain. Their faces twisted in agony, and some couldn’t even scream anymore as the goons showed no mercy.

Luna ran up and kicked them a couple more times, cursing. “That’s what you get for harassing girls in public, you trash!” Scumbags like them should be castrated to stop them from hurting other girls. “Want Isabella and me to sleep with them? What nerve!” Luna wondered with rage.

Charles eyed Seth and his crowd who were writhing coldly, taking a step forward and stomping on Seth’s wrist with a sickening crack. Crack! “Ah!” Lee’s face went completely pale, drained of all color! With a deadly calm in his eyes, Charles spoke in a chilling voice. “Keep showing off? Find out everything about him and take his whole operation down.”

He even dared to touch Isabella! Charles wondered if he really thought no one would protect her just because Samuel was in his business. Jeffrey’s heart skipped a beat as he quickly replied, “Don’t worry, Mr. Kessler. I’ll get this handled.” Jeffrey wasn’t going to waste any time. This was his only chance to make a mark. If Charles got angry, the consequences would be unbearable.

At that moment, Seth truly realized how terrifying this man was, and his body trembled uncontrollably. Seth didn’t care about anything else, crawling on his knees toward Charles, his face full of terror as he begged for mercy. “Please, have mercy on me. I beg you. Let me go please. I promise I’ll never do it again, never again…”

Though he still didn’t know Charles’ true identity, anyone who could instill such fear in Jeffrey was definitely not ordinary. Charles let out a cold laugh and kicked Seth hard. “Now you’re begging for mercy! It’s too late,”

Chapter 179

Where have you been all this time? Charles wondered. If it weren’t for them, a girl from an ordinary family would have been ruined by him long ago. He was such a scoundrel.

Seth’s face changed, and he crawled on his knees toward Luma, Isabella, and Celine, pleading as he kowtowed. “I’m sorry. Please don’t go after my family, I was wrong. I truly know I was wrong.” He had worked hard all his life, and this was all he had. If it was really gone, it would be more painful than killing him.

Luna took a couple of steps back, frowning at Seth, and said sternly, “You brought this on yourself.” She wasn’t one to be overly compassionate, especially toward those who thought they were superior, controlling others. But when faced with someone stronger, they immediately cower and beg for mercy. What nerve he has! Luma wondered.

Seth’s face turned even paler as he quickly looked at Isabella, pleading. “Please spare me. I swear I’ll be respectful to all the ladies from now on.” Isabella glanced over at Seth, then turned to Jeffrey and said directly, “Mr. Weston, take them away.”

Jeffrey dared not linger any longer and signaled to his men, who promptly pulled Seth and his group out of Night Charm Bar. The manager was now kneeling on the ground, shaking uncontrollably with fear. He swallowed hard. Seth, with his powerful background, ended up miserably, so a mere manager like him would fare even worse. Jeffrey’s gaze, sharp as a blade, landed on the manager, and he commanded sternly, “Take him with you too.
