Chapter 219
Sarah said, “It’s been a while since those two went abroad, right? I wonder how they’re doing now.” Sarah couldn’t help but miss her younger siblings, who hadn’t been home for quite some time.
After Gwenna arranged the decorations, she looked up and nodded at Sarah with a smile, saying, “Yeah, they said they’d be back before Hoy’s birthday, but the exact day isn’t set yet.” Talking about her children made Gwenna feel happy. Over the years since she married into the Howerton family, even though Hoy could be stubborn, he treated her fairly well. They had four kids: Sarah, the eldest; Ben and Irena were twins; and Samuel, the youngest. Each of them was a leader in their field.
The only regret was that only Sarah had kids, while the other three seemed to have no plans for it at the moment. At least Samuel was married, so having kids seemed just a matter of time. Ben and Irena were not getting any younger, and none of them seemed interested in settling down, which often worried Gwenna.
Sarah nodded knowingly and put down her glass, reminding, “Let me know when you have a set date, so I can pick them up.” Gwenna looked at Sarah with a hint of surprise. Feeling a bit self-conscious under her gaze, Sarah cleared her throat and looked away, explaining, “I’m not that busy lately. Whitney has taken over most of my work.”
Gwenna pressed her lips together with a soft smile and nodded, not revealing anything. “Yeah, Whitney is just a bit tired,” she replied quietly. No one knows a child better than their mother, and Gwenna was fully aware of the changes in her children. Back then, Sarah was focused on work. It’s not an exaggeration to call her a workaholic. She would never have gone to the airport personally to pick someone up. Maybe even Sarah hadn’t realized that ever since she got better from the illness, she had been visiting the family home more often. Gwenna was happy to see this change. Who knows when Hoy will change his mind. With a soft sigh in her heart, she wondered when Bella would make her some coffee again.
In the top-notch presidential suite of the Fantasy Hotel, the aristocratic decor made the whole room look extremely luxurious. With the curtains drawn, the dimly lit room showed faint shadows on the drapes, while a soft murmur could be heard from within the suite.
Chapter 219
Jayden… Ivana’s alluring voice filled the air, loaded with suggestive undertones. Jayden’s back bore the red marks from Ivana’s nails, with beads of sweat silently mingling with them. Ivana’s voice was becoming harder to control. Tonight, Jayden was different, which only heightened her emotions. Things didn’t start to calm down until an hour later.
Ivana leaned weakly against Jayden, wrapping her arms around his waist, and asked in a sweet voice, “Jayden, is there some good news? You seem really enthusiastic tonight.” Much more intense than before. There was a lot of passion between them, but Ivana often felt there was a barrier between them. She couldn’t reach his heart.
Jayden held Ivana’s shoulders a bit tighter, kissed her forehead, and with a hint of something in his eyes, softly said, “Looks like I didn’t satisfy you before, huh?” His voice had a playful tone, stirring her feelings. She lightly punched Jayden’s shoulder, laughing. “You’re so naughty!” She really liked this playful side of Jayden. She wished it could always be like this.
Jayden grabbed her playful hand, kissed it, and looking at Ivana with a teasing smile, said, “I’ll be even naughtier next time.” Ivana felt a flutter in her heart, and her smile became even brighter. However, his heart felt heavy. After many days of sending Isabella flowers, she hadn’t accepted a single one from him, choosing only Samuel’s. He had never been treated like this before. Knowing she still had some leverage, Isabella gave him the cold shoulder. There were many women eager to share his bed; she was being ungrateful.
Ivana leaned in and kissed Jayden softly on the lips, feeling like fireworks were going off inside her. She was afraid that everything in front of her might be an illusion and looked up at Jayden with some deep sadness, worriedly asking, “Jayden, will you always love me? I’m so afraid you’ll ignore me again tomorrow.” She was gentle and pitiful, like a flower in a storm, ready to be shattered by the wind and rain at any moment. A sense of pity arose in Jayden’s heart. Ivana was much gentler and more sensible than Isabella; that woman really needed to be dealt with. Sooner or later, he wanted Isabella to lie softly in his arms like this too.
Jayden tightened his arms around Ivana, pulling her closer, “When have I ever ignored you? Looks like you want more.” This closeness made Ivana blush right away. She gazed at Jayden with eyes full of allure, gently biting her lip, and said in a soft voice, “Jayden…” as she pulled the blanket up to cover them both. Feeling her lips provoking him, Jayden’s eyes darkened, and he muttered through clenched teeth, “You tease.” Then, he rolled over and pinned Ivana beneath him.

Heat flared up again, and the sounds of intimacy filled the room once more. This time, Ivana was truly happy. She clearly felt Jayden’s attention was now on her. It seemed like his gesture of sending flowers to Isabella with no response in return had made him give up completely. She thought, ‘Does this mean my wedding with Jayden is just around the corner?’ Ivana couldn’t contain her excitement, and even her moans became louder with joy. She thought, ‘Damn, in the end, Isabella still lost to me. Jayden can only belong to me!’
The next day, Ivana got ready early and headed to the office, softly humming a song, stepping into her office in high spirits. At a glance, Isabella was already busy at her desk. She casually slipped on a white dress and tied her hair back in a loose bun. Ivana smirked internally at Isabella’s shabby outfit. Then she glanced at her own exquisite jewelry and expensive dress, all gifts from Jayden. In comparison, she felt she looked much prettier than Isabella.
Ivana sneered, and as she passed by Isabella, she whispered, “No wonder Jayden likes me better, you old hag.” Thinking about last night’s events, Ivana cheerfully walked away, heading straight to the manager’s office. Isabella’s fingers paused on the keyboard. Strutting away, she couldn’t help but twitch her lips. Ivana’s odd behavior was nothing new to her, so she decided to ignore the lunatic and kept concentrating on her work. It wasn’t until she had almost finished everything that Isabella finally stood up.
