Chapter 221

Samuel didn’t reply; his cold gaze swept across the store. A moment later, Philip, dressed in a fashionable casual suit, rushed down the stairs as soon as he saw Samuel and warmly exclaimed, “Oh, what a rare guest! You finally decided to come.” As he said this, he excitedly went to hug Samuel.

With a frown, Samuel stepped aside with Isabella, a slight hint of disdain in his eyes as he said coldly, “You should work now.” It was only then that Philip noticed the woman beside him, and his eyes sparkled with admiration. He asked excitedly, “Samuel, is this your girlfriend?”

Before Samuel could speak, Philip immediately walked over to Isabella, happily extending his hand, “Hello! I’m Philip Courtney, you can just call me Philip.” Charles and the others had mentioned before how incredibly stunning Isabella was. Philip, who was used to seeing all kinds of beauties, was initially skeptical, but at this moment, he believed it.

Standing before him was Isabella—tall, graceful, with a perfectly balanced figure. Even without makeup, she was captivatingly beautiful, making it hard to look away. He wondered just how gorgeous she would be with makeup on. Now he finally understood why Samuel, who usually kept his distance from women, suddenly got married.

Isabella’s lips curled into a slight smile as she politely responded, “Hello, I’m Isabella.” Philip couldn’t take his eyes off Isabella’s face. It was so beautiful that he couldn’t help but start imagining a style for her. But the next moment, Samuel grabbed his collar and said in a deep voice, “Get to work.”

Even though Samuel didn’t say anything extra, Philip could feel the jealousy in the air. He thought, ‘Oh my, has icy Samuel finally fallen for someone?’ Philip seemed to find something amusing as his eyes moved between the two of them. But noticing the deadly look from Samuel, he quickly turned to Isabella and gestured upstairs respectfully, “Isabella, this way, please.”

Isabella nodded slightly and stepped forward to follow him. The receptionist was shocked to see the two guests going upstairs. She thought, ‘Who is this person that requires my boss’s personal attention for a makeover?’ After all, getting an appointment with Philip for a styling session was something many people couldn’t manage, and the cost for one session was extremely high.

In a small suite on the second floor, Isabella and Samuel had just sat down when an employee came over with a cup of coffee, nodding respectfully and saying, “Take your time. If you need anything, feel free to ask me at any time.” She then left the room.

Samuel gently picked up the coffee and handed it to Isabella, saying softly, “Is it a bit hot?” Isabella tested the temperature of the cup with her palm; it was just right, so she took a small sip. Her eyes suddenly brightened, and she glanced at Samuel, saying, “Wow, this coffee tastes pretty good. Such a smooth texture was really rare to find. Usually, she wasn’t very particular about coffee because she was busy, but she couldn’t help praising it when she had truly good coffee.

Samuel lifted his gaze to look at Philip, who was getting things ready, “Send some of this coffee over to Riverside Villa.” Philip was speechless. Not only did they come over to flaunt their affection, but they also intended to take his prized stash. But since Isabella likes it, giving away a bit of the stash isn’t a problem. “Alright, is there anything else Isabella likes? I can bring some over next time.”

He thought, ‘It’s my first time meeting her, after all, got to bring a little gift!’ Samuel’s cold eyes stared at Philip, the usual penny-pincher, who surprisingly didn’t argue and even offered more. Philip felt a chill run down his neck and didn’t dare to say another word. He thought, ‘Whoa, Samuel’s super jealous.’

Isabella glanced at Philip, chuckling lightly as she politely replied, “Thanks, no need, just a bit of this coffee is enough for me.” Samuel and his friend seemed to be quite friendly toward her. Putting down her coffee, Isabella turned to Samuel and asked, “Won’t it be boring for you to hang around while I get my hair styled? Why don’t you go take care of your things and pick me up later?”

Even though she had never actually waited for someone like this before, Samuel didn’t seem like the type who would wait around for someone. Looking at Isabella, Samuel said softly, “No need, just do your thing.” Isabella was surprised, but before she could speak, Philip was ready and came over, smiling, “Isabella, I’m all set, shall we begin?”

Isabella turned to Philip and nodded, “Okay.” Philip expected Isabella to walk straight over to him, but the next moment, he watched as Isabella stood up and leaned closer to Samuel. Right in front of him, she kissed Samuel directly on the lips. Philip’s eyes widened in disbelief as he witnessed the scene. As a single stylist, why did he have to endure such a blow?

The most crucial part was that Samuel didn’t push her away; instead, he wrapped his arm around Isabella’s waist. He thought, ‘Oh my God, what did I just see? Is this still the same proud, aloof Samuel? Why isn’t he cool and aloof?’ Isabella took a step back, curled her lips into a light smile, and said, “Thank you, Samuel.”

Chapter 991

Samuel is so busy, yet he’s willing to spend time with her here. Quietly, he’s been doing everything for her. Isabella felt deeply moved. The coldness in Samuel’s eyes melted away, his face softening into a gentle smile as he softly said, “Go ahead.” Isabella nodded and smiled, then stood up and walked towards Philip.

In front of the makeup mirror, Philip’s hand holding the brush was trembling as he occasionally glanced at Samuel behind him. Isabella looked at Philip, slightly furrowing her eyebrows in confusion, “Philip, are you not feeling well?” Philip leaned closer to Isabella, whispering softly just between the two of them, “Isabella, has Samuel’s mind been taken over by someone?”

Isabella raised an eyebrow, the flicker of worry in her heart fading away. As long as he’s not sick, it’s all good. She asked curiously, “Why do you say that?” In terms of that, Philip had a lot to say. As he used a wet wipe to remove the extra oil from Isabella’s face, he commented, “Samuel’s personality is just too cold, like he’s allergic to women.”

Isabella’s interest was piqued immediately, and she chuckled, “Really? Tell me more.” Philip started helping Isabella with her skincare, continuing, “Once, we went to a club for drinks, and a woman accidentally bumped into him. He almost reflexively kicked her away.” Thinking about it, Philip remembered everyone in the booth was shocked.

They all thought she was up to something shady, maybe trying to steal some business secrets. But when they asked, they found out she just accidentally touched Samuel’s hand. Philip, worried that Samuel might hear, moved a little closer to Isabella and whispered, “Later, he started cleaning that hand with a lot of alcohol and even showered several times.”

Isabella raised an eyebrow. “Is that for real?” She’s been with Samuel for so long and never noticed him being the least bit bothered by women. Philip gave Isabella a meaningful look, “That’s why I suspected someone took over his mind, letting you kiss him!” A small smile tugged at Isabella’s lips, and she instinctively glanced in the mirror at Samuel, who was sitting on the couch, working on his phone.
