Chapter 12

"Go on pretending, then!" Madison sneered. She believed Cameron was feigning calmness to protect his wounded pride.

"Is something wrong with your brain?" Cameron asked, his brow furrowed, finally irritated by Madison's arrogance.

"What did you say about my brain?" Madison's face flushed crimson with anger. She yelled, "Didn't you say you live in Azure Villa No. 1? That means you know who Blackheart is. Did you know he's coming to Yrando in three days?"

Cameron's brows knitted slightly. "Blackheart's coming to Yrando?"

"What, you didn't know?" Madison scoffed.

"He didn't tell me," Cameron replied.

"Of course he didn't, because you two don't know each other!" Madison cried triumphantly, believing she'd exposed Cameron's "lie." "Let me tell you something else: Blackheart will be hosting a grand celebration for a secret individual on the Venizon Cruise. My wedding with Mr. Price will be held there as well!"

"Venizon Cruise?" Cameron murmured, a wave of nostalgia washing over him.

Madison's sneer deepened. "Venizon Cruise is the world's most luxurious cruise ship. It's owned by Blackheart, too! Blackheart will personally be congratulating me and Archie at our wedding!"

"If you can really afford to live in Azure Villa No. 1, why did you choose a crummy old hotel for our wedding? Just look at how you compare to Mr. Price. What else are you capable of besides lying?"

"That's only because you said you wanted a peaceful, quiet life," Cameron responded calmly.

"That's enough, Cameron!" Madison snapped, unable to contain her hatred. "How can you be so shameless as to try and justify your uselessness?"

"There's no need to get upset over someone like him, Madison. Just let him continue living in his fantasy world. Didn't he say he owned Darth Holdings before? He couldn't even fork over one million dollars," Archie scoffed.

Turning to Cameron, he said, "Let me give you a stern warning, kid—Madison is now my wife, so please don't bother her anymore."

"Don't worry, I'm not interested in her," Cameron replied flatly. He'd lost all interest in Madison after seeing her true nature and discovering she wasn't the owner of the hair bow.

Archie's brows furrowed. How could Cameron have maintained this charade for so long?

Madison angrily pointed at Cameron, yelling, "How did I never see how fake you are, Cameron Morgan? You say you're not interested in me, yet you continuously show up wherever I am. Why are you here in Azure Residence now?"

"I told you I live here," Cameron remained calm.

"Why don't you just go to hell!" Madison snapped furiously. Cameron was clearly not breaking his act.

"Forget it, Madison. Let's not continue arguing with someone of his caliber. Why don't we humor him for a bit? It must be tiring keeping up this act for so long," Archie said, his gaze filled with disdain. He usually ignored people like Cameron; they didn't deserve his time.

"Whatever you say, Mr. Price," Madison immediately quieted down.

Archie smiled triumphantly, as if demonstrating what a "real man" was. Cameron's expression remained unchanged. He was more concerned about his cooling fries.

"Let's go, Madison," Archie said, feeling he'd established dominance over Cameron.

"Alright, dear," Madison replied, taking his arm.

The two returned to the Rolls Royce, which smoothly drove into Azure Residence. Cameron's ears were finally free from the noise. He prepared to return to the villa when his phone rang. It was Blackheart.

Cameron answered. A respectful voice asked, "Have you moved into the villa, sir?"

"Yes," Cameron replied, nodding. "I heard you're coming to Yrando, Blackheart? And planning a celebration for me on the Venizon Cruise?"

"Did you hear about that already, sir?" Blackheart asked, surprised.

"Mhm."

"I just wanted to give you a surprise, sir. That's why I didn't inform you beforehand…" Blackheart explained nervously.

"Alright, I just wanted to confirm it with you. I don't blame you in any way," Cameron replied with a smile.

Blackheart breathed a sigh of relief. "Then, what about the celebration, sir?"

"You don't need to hold it. I'll just take a tour of the cruise ship that day," Cameron said. It had been five years since his last visit.

"Yes, sir!" Blackheart responded. "One more thing, sir…"

"Yes?"

"In three days' time, Archie Price will be holding a wedding with Madison Parker on the Venizon Cruise. Do you need me to teach them a lesson, sir?"

"No need," Cameron said. Those two weren't worth his time and effort.

"Yes, sir. That's all I wanted to inform you, sir. I won't disturb your rest now. I'll be waiting on the cruise ship in three days' time, sir!"

"Alright."

Cameron hung up and headed back to Azure Residence. Back at the villa, he quickly finished his burger and fries. His phone rang again; a notification popped up. He opened his messaging app to find a text from one "Dakota Jennings." He grinned.
