Chapter 147
Enraged, Ken barked, "Get out!" He believed Archie and Madison had caused him trouble. Others might not know, but as the restaurant manager, he knew Lord Blackheart had requested his boss give Cameron preferential treatment. Offending Cameron was tantamount to offending Lord Blackheart; even his boss would be in trouble.
"Ah?" Archie and the Parkers were stunned. Archie's eyes widened in disbelief. "Mr. Snyder, are you asking us to leave?"
"Yes! Get out of here!" Ken shouted angrily.
Archie, momentarily dazed, recovered quickly. His expression darkened. "Mr. Snyder, you're not joking, are you?"
"I haven't time for jokes! Leave with your family! I don't welcome you!" Ken issued the eviction.
Archie took a deep breath. While unaware of the situation, being publicly ejected by a restaurant manager was embarrassing. His tone hardened. "Mr. Snyder, my family is aristocratic in Yrando. Are you sure you won't reconsider?"
"Your status means nothing. Even if your father were here, I wouldn't change my mind!" Ken roared. "Take your people and don't disturb other guests!"
"Fine!" Archie gritted his teeth, his face flushing. "I'll remember this! I'll tell my father!" (The promotional plug should be removed here)
"Drive safely," Ken said curtly, gesturing for them to leave.
"Madison! Mom, let's go!" Archie urged his family. He stormed out, followed quickly by Madison, Pia, and Skyler, ashamed to remain.
After they left, Ken's coldness vanished. He turned respectfully to Cameron. "Mr. Morgan, I apologize. I didn't anticipate this affecting your meal."
"It's alright, Mr. Snyder. Thank you. I'm sorry you offended Archie for our sake," Cameron replied, slightly embarrassed.
"They were the ones causing trouble. As manager, I must maintain a positive dining experience for guests," Ken said politely.
"Regardless, I appreciate your help."
Cameron smiled. Impressed with Ken, he planned to ask Lord Blackheart to request a promotion for him.
"You're welcome, Mr. Morgan!" Ken bowed. Cameron's demeanor was a stark contrast to Archie's arrogance.
"Please continue enjoying your meal." Cameron smiled.
"I won't disturb you, sir," Ken replied respectfully. "Enjoy your meal!"
"Thank you, Mr. Snyder."
As Ken left, he whispered to a waiter (presumably wearing a microphone), "I'll cover Mr. Morgan's bill." Cameron, with his sharp hearing, heard this and smiled, appreciating Ken's actions.
"Let's order," Cameron said calmly, as if nothing had happened. His calm demeanor was observed by Dakota, Leonard and Jane, who were impressed by Cameron's handling of the situation and perceived the Parkers' actions as stemming from jealousy. This solidified their approval of Cameron as Dakota's partner.
