Chapter 156
“Cameron, you saw it!” Lena’s breath hitched as she glared at him, making his scalp tingle. He couldn't hide the truth; his failure to clean up his nosebleed was to blame.
“Tell me! What did you see?” Lena fought to control her temper, suppressing the flush rising in her cheeks.
Cameron pointed to her chest.
She raised an eyebrow. “What else?”
“Nothing else.”
Lena was secretly relieved. If he’d only seen her chest, that was acceptable. Her bra was still on, so she wasn’t completely exposed. But the fact remained: he had seen her chest. She’d gotten the short end of the stick!
“You bastard!” She glared at him fiercely.
He thought she was about to explode again, so he quickly protested his innocence. “Colonel Bailey, I didn’t do anything! You tore your own clothes off…”
“You—” Lena paled with anger. Why was he acting like he was the victim?
Cameron, oblivious to her thoughts, swore, “Colonel Bailey, I swear I have no interest in you! I didn’t even touch you! I swear on my name!”
Her mouth twitched. His righteous indignation made her look like the villain.
Lena gritted her teeth. “You bastard!”
Cameron looked at her helplessly. “Colonel Bailey, what’s wrong now?”
She snorted. “Hmph, you annoy me!”
“Okay, I’ll go.” He wanted to escape the ticking time bomb she’d become.
“Wait, you can’t leave yet!” Lena stopped him. She hadn’t addressed the spanking. No one had ever spanked her—not even her parents. But this bastard had! A burning sting lingered on her bottom.
Cameron stopped, a shiver running down his spine. “What do you want?”
Lena frowned. “It seems you don’t want to stay with me.” (The website promotion has been removed.)
He smiled. “Of course not. I just have other things to do.”
“Are you in a hurry to see Laura?” Their relationship seemed unusual.
Though it wasn’t true, Cameron used it as an excuse.
“What’s your relationship with her?” Lena pressed.
“Just a normal relationship.”
“You bastard! You fooled me again!” Her forehead pulsed with anger. She felt like a fool.
“Colonel Bailey, you need to improve your temper, or no one will marry you.” He shook his head at her grumpiness.
“Hmph, nonsense! I have plenty of suitors. You’ve just never seen them!” She snorted. And it was true. Many men in the Capital Military Region, and elsewhere, were interested in her.
Cameron smiled awkwardly, secretly thinking whoever married Lena would be in for some domestic violence.
“Don’t talk nonsense! Let’s settle what happened just now!” Lena changed the subject, her tone sharp.
“What happened?” Cameron was startled. Hadn’t he already explained everything?
“What a bastard!” Seeing his feigned bewilderment, Lena gritted her teeth. “I mean…the spanking!”

She hesitated, her pretty face flushing. Despite her usual carefree demeanor, she was conservative.
Cameron’s mouth twitched. He hadn’t expected her to bring that up.
He grinned. “Colonel Bailey, it was a misunderstanding. Besides, you almost shot me! Consider the spanking compensation for my emotional distress.”
Lena bristled. “Go to hell!”
Worried she’d lose it again, and knowing he couldn’t undo the spanking, he suggested, “How about you spank me back?”
