Chapter 224

A formidable army halted at the hotel entrance. Every soldier was armed and ready.

Alan stood before them, hands clasped behind his back, watching Cameron at the top of the steps with amusement.

"Punk, we meet again," Alan grinned, his teeth gleaming chillingly in the sunlight.

"Hello, General Xander," Cameron replied, his smile cold.

"Isn't it a little late to call me General now?" Alan chuckled. He believed Cameron, the playboy, couldn't fight him and had already conceded.

"Hmph, General Xander, are you always this arrogant?" Cameron sneered.

"You—" Alan's anger flared, but he quickly composed himself, observing Cameron intently. "Punk, I like your arrogance. You won't last long. You'll soon beg for mercy."

Cameron scoffed, "General Xander, you're too wordy."

"You punk!"

Cameron clenched his fists, his eyes hardening.

"Cameron, don't be impulsive!" Dakota whispered urgently.

Cameron said softly, "Don't worry, Dakota. I know my limits. Go to the waterfront and wait for me there. It's too dangerous here." He didn't want her to get hurt.

Dakota wanted to stay, but knew she'd be a burden. She decided to find Lena for help; Lena couldn't be far and might still have time to get assistance.

"Okay!" Dakota nodded and ran towards the parking lot.

Alan made no move to stop her; his focus remained on Cameron. He wouldn't risk the ridicule of harming a woman. He turned his chilling gaze back to Cameron.

"If you beg and plead, perhaps I'll let you go."

Cameron ignored him, asking, "General Xander, does anyone else know you came here?"

"Haha, do you want to use Laura to deter me?" Alan sneered, anger in his eyes. "It's a pity she doesn't know about this. Even if she did, she wouldn't blame her future husband. Do you think Laura cares about you? You merely appeared when she needed company. She needs a strong, refined man like me—someone who can protect and provide for her. As for you, you're just her servant! Stop daydreaming."

Cameron raised his head. "So, you brought people here secretly?"

"Are you trying to use military regulations to pressure me?"

Alan looked at him with amusement. "But your hopes are in vain. Before I arrived, I disabled all nearby surveillance."

"Oh?" Cameron smiled crookedly, his gaze fixed on Alan. "In other words, even if you die here accidentally, no one will know."
