Chapter 264
Tension filled the villa. Max glared at Cameron, anger simmering in his deep-set eyes. "Young man," he said, "this is my final warning. If you're here to celebrate, you're welcome. If you're here to cause trouble, don't blame me for being inhospitable."
Cameron's lips curled into a cold smile. His icy gaze remained fixed on Max. "Inhospitable? You're the one in charge here, right?"
"Indeed," Max replied gravely.
"Then take your family and get out of my mother's villa," Cameron ordered, gesturing towards the exit.
Silence fell. Astonishment hung in the air as everyone stared at Cameron.
"Do you understand what you're saying?" Max demanded, his anger rising.
"Perfectly," Cameron said fearlessly, meeting Max's gaze. "I'm reclaiming what belongs to my mother."
Max frowned. "Your mother?"
"Yes," Cameron said icily.
"May I ask her name?" Max inquired.
"Angela Greer," Cameron replied.
Max's pupils constricted. He clearly recognized the name.
"You know her, then," Cameron observed, his eyes hardening.
Max exhaled deeply. Turning to the guests, he apologized. "My apologies, everyone. My family has a private matter to resolve. Please excuse us."
The guests quickly excused themselves, murmuring apologies as they departed. Their departure highlighted the tactlessness of Cameron's disruption of Max's birthday celebration, regardless of his grievances with the Zimmer family. Some recognized Cameron as Laura's recent favorite, representing her interests in Yrando. Yet, they doubted even Laura could afford to antagonize Max, given his alliance with the powerful Xander family and Alan's engagement to Laura. They saw Cameron's actions as suicidal.

Once the guests were gone, Max's expression darkened. "Close the doors!" he commanded. The doors slammed shut.
Chapter 264
"So, you're the presumed-dead Morgan child. I never expected you to be alive," Max remarked, narrowing his eyes.
"It seems your family is involved in my mother's death," Cameron said, his gaze growing even colder.
"Her death has nothing to do with us," Max denied.
"Then why are you living in her house?" Cameron pressed, each question tightening the invisible noose.
Max smirked coldly. "That's none of your concern."
"Is that so?" Cameron's smile turned grim. His gaze was utterly frigid. "Then from this day forward, the Zimmer family might as well cease to exist."
