"Wow, you really did dispatch that military unit!" Tara gasped, covering her mouth in awe. She took several deep breaths, trying to calm herself. If Tara wasn't mistaken, the leader was Colonel Larson from the Yrando Military Region.

"Well I'm not as impressive as you think. I'm simply benefiting from Ms. Jones's influence," Cameron paused. "Benefiting from Ms. Jones's influence?" Tara questioned, puzzled.

"Yes. Didn't I tell you I'm Ms. Jones's representative in Yrando? I met Colonel Larson through her. He was simply showing respect to Ms. Jones," Cameron explained.

Tara sighed in relief. "But do you have a grudge against the Zimmer family? Why would you dispatch a military unit?"

"There are indeed some old grudges," Cameron sneered.

"Significant ones?" Tara asked.

"Yes," Cameron nodded. Even if the Zimmer family didn't admit it, he was certain his mother's death was connected to them. He wouldn't let anyone involved in her murder go unpunished.

"Aren't you afraid of retaliation?" Tara persisted.

"No, I'm not."

"Are you confident you can handle them?"

"Well I have a favor to ask." Tara felt embarrassed, her intentions now obvious.

"What favor?" Cameron raised an eyebrow, expecting nothing good.

"It's there's a party tomorrow at the Platinum Duke Hotel. Could you accompany me?" Tara asked, slightly embarrassed.

"A party? What kind of party?" Cameron inquired.

"It's just a regular party. Many wealthy young people will be there. I just want you to pretend to be my boyfriend," Tara confessed.

"Pretend to be your boyfriend?" Cameron's eyes twitched. As he suspected, it wasn't good.

"Yes," Tara nodded.

"I'm not going!" Cameron refused decisively. He didn't want to appear to be supporting Tara, and he didn't want Dakota to worry.

"Come on, Cameron. Please accompany me! If you refuse, I'll have no one to go with," Tara pleaded, tugging at his arm and acting coquettishly.

"No way!" Cameron remained firm. The more flirtatious Tara became, the more uneasy he felt. Going with her would undoubtedly cause trouble.

"Don't be so stubborn. Please, consider it a favor." Tara's tone softened.
