Chapter 286
"Alright, Tara, let's go home."
On stage, Lena calmed down. They didn't need to stay; they had temporarily resolved their issues with Kelvin. She wasn't interested in the party, either. Tara nodded. Seeing that Lena didn't ask any more questions, she felt relieved.
"By the way, Tara, you can stay at my place for the next few days. I worry about you being alone," Lena said, her tone suddenly solemn.
"But I still have to take care of my grandpa…" Tara replied.
Tara was a little embarrassed, but she knew that living at Lena's place was much safer.
"I can come over and accompany you," Lena offered. "But you need to wait for me for two days. I'll return to the military region to settle some matters and then report to the army. If Kelvin comes to harass you again, just call me. I'll deal with him!"
Although she couldn't legally do anything to Kelvin without a crime being committed, she could deter him.
"Will you stay with me? That would be great!" Tara exclaimed happily, hugging Lena. "Lena, I love you so much!"
Lena chuckled and shook her head helplessly. "Let's go."
"Okay!"
They soon headed home.
Meanwhile, Kelvin, having left the hotel, drove his limited-edition red Ferrari sports car back to the Zimmers' villa in the capital. He looked gloomy, his mind racing with thoughts of revenge against Cameron. That bastard had embarrassed him in front of so many people; he would never let Cameron go!
However, upon returning home, he found hundreds of underworld thugs gathered at the door, all looking serious. Kelvin's father, Chad, stood before them, looking grim.
"Dad, what happened?" Kelvin asked, witnessing the scene.
"Kelvin, welcome back," Chad responded solemnly.
"Dad, what's wrong with your face?" Kelvin asked, noticing the redness and swelling on his father's cheek.
"Someone caused a disturbance at your grandpa's birthday banquet. I tried to stop him, but he beat me up!" Chad seethed.
"What? Who dares to make a fuss at Grandpa's birthday banquet?" Kelvin widened his eyes in shock. "Who is he?"
"It's a bastard named Cameron Morgan," Chad said, his tone laced with murderous intent.
Kelvin was startled. "Cameron? Yrando's representative?"
"You know him?" Chad asked, momentarily stunned.
"More than that!" Kelvin gritted his teeth. "He embarrassed me at the party today!"
"It seems we're destined enemies," Chad's eyes narrowed.
"Dad, I'll bring people to kill him to avenge you and Grandpa!" Kelvin was eager for revenge.
Chad stopped him. "Kelvin, don't be too hasty. We can deal with him in two days."
Kelvin was puzzled. "Why two days later?"
"Because…" Chad explained the Zimmers' plan.
"That's interesting!" Kelvin smiled sinisterly after hearing the plan. "Dad, you must keep him alive and hand him to me! I'll torture him to death!"
"No problem!"
Kelvin smiled grimly. Tara's image flashed through his mind. Did she think she could escape him by finding a boyfriend? He would always get what he wanted. Since Tara didn't accept him, she couldn't blame him for resorting to underhanded tactics. He remembered she had a seriously ill grandfather in the hospital. His eyes narrowed slightly. A sinister plan formed in his mind.
Meanwhile, Cameron called Lord Blackheart after returning to his villa.
"Blackheart, is there any movement from the Zimmers?"
"Sir, according to our intel, the Zimmers have no known connections with any powerful families. However, they've rapidly gathered forces from both legal and illegal circles. It seems they plan to act in two days."
"As I expected, they won't sit idly by," Cameron said.
He narrowed his eyes, revealing a hint of coldness.
"Sir, should I dispatch the army from the Leving Military Region to suppress them?" Lord Blackheart asked.
"No, we don't need such a large-scale operation to deal with the Zimmers. Lead the Black Flag Army, and follow me to the Zimmers' villa that day. I want to see what tricks they're up to!"
"Yes, sir!"
