Chapter 287

Two days passed swiftly. A cloudy atmosphere hung over Yrando, casting a somber mood.

At the entrance to Max's villa, a massive crowd had gathered—law enforcement and their counterparts, arrayed in white and black respectively. Thousands strong, they stood in two lines.

Max stood with hands clasped behind his back, surveying his forces with pride. Behind him, the Zimmers buzzed with excitement. Gathering such an army in just two days showcased their power—their ability to command forces from both sides of the law throughout the capital, a feat unique to their family.

"Chad, what time is it?" Max asked.

"9:00 a.m.," Chad replied.

"Hmm, he'll be arriving soon," Max murmured, eyes half-closed, his expression impassive. He waited patiently for Cameron to fall into his trap, planning to eliminate the Morgan family's prodigal son.

Meanwhile, at Azure Residence, Villa No. 1, Cameron awoke at 9:00 a.m. Leaving the villa, he was met with a light drizzle. Awaiting him at the entrance was a large convoy of men in black, Lord Blackheart among them, holding a dark umbrella.

"Hello, sir!" Lord Blackheart greeted respectfully, quickly approaching to shield Cameron from the rain.

"Is everyone here?" Cameron asked.

"Yes, sir. The Black Flag Army is present; 1,856 strong!" Lord Blackheart replied.

"Let's go."

"Yes, sir!"

Cameron entered a vehicle, and the convoy slowly departed. Lord Blackheart provided an update en route.

"Sir, the Zimmers have assembled over a thousand people, from both sides of the law."

"A thousand…" Cameron murmured, a cold smile playing on his lips. "They're making quite a show for me." His voice hardened. "The Zimmers deserve to die."

Lord Blackheart's face darkened at the news of the Zimmers' planned attack.

"Yes," Cameron confirmed, his tone resolute. He sought revenge for his mother's death.

The convoy, a black tide surging through Yrando's streets, drew shocked stares from passersby, who speculated about a high-profile inspection.

As they rounded a corner, Cameron spotted Tara, looking anxious, unaware of the approaching convoy. She hurried down the street, phone in hand. Her unusual behavior caused Cameron to frown.

"Sir, what is it?" Lord Blackheart inquired.

"Blackheart, discreetly tail the woman in white. Report any unusual activity immediately."

"Yes, sir!"

A black Maybach peeled off to follow Tara. Reassured, Cameron leaned back, closing his eyes.

After nearly half an hour, the convoy arrived at the Zimmers' villa.

"Sir, we are here," Lord Blackheart announced.

Cameron opened his eyes, his gaze icy.
