Chapter 81
The next morning at Yrando Airport, a long police cordon stretched outside the terminal. Hundreds of armed soldiers maintained order amidst a huge crowd beyond the cordon. Everyone held signs and chanted Laura's name; she was scheduled to exit in half an hour. Many hoped to catch a glimpse of the "goddess," the eldest daughter of the Jones family from Leving.
Cameron and Dakota arrived. As Dakota surveyed the crowd, her excitement waned.
“I didn’t expect such a huge crowd. We won’t even see Laura! I’m sorry for dragging you here for nothing.”
The crowd's enthusiasm far exceeded Dakota's expectations, even surprising Cameron. Seeing Dakota’s distress, he smiled. “No worries, follow me.”
Dakota’s eyes brightened. “Do you have a workaround?”
“Yes.” Smiling, Cameron led Dakota through a nearby special passage. Unobstructed, they quickly reached the innermost area, just short of the police cordon.
“Wow, we’re at the front! Cameron, you’re amazing!” Dakota, thrilled, jumped up and down, her eyes filled with admiration. She knew he’d used his connections.
“Are you happy now?” Cameron asked, his smile widening at her excitement.
“Yes!” Dakota nodded.
As she was about to thank him, a vicious female voice cut through the air. “Is it Cameron and Dakota?”
Dakota turned, her eyes twitching at the sight of Madison and Archie.
“Maddy. Mr. Price,” Dakota greeted them politely.
Madison’s disdainful reply was anything but polite. “Dakota, don’t you know this is the VIP area? What gives you the right to be here?”
Dakota started to explain, but Cameron interrupted coldly, “If we can be here, why is it unusual for you to be here?”
Madison snorted. “I know! You used Mr. Kane’s help again, didn’t you? Dakota, you’re a bitch. How many other men are you involved with? And you, Cameron, you’re just a backup.”
“Maddy, how can you say that about Cameron…” Dakota protested.
“Dakota, ignore her. I don’t understand how a woman who cheated on her husband has the audacity to criticize others,” Cameron said calmly.
“What did you say!” Madison’s face flushed with anger.
Archie frowned. “Cameron, show some respect. Don’t speak to my girlfriend like that.”
“Respect?” Cameron sneered. “You think you deserve it?”
Archie’s lip twitched, his face hardening. “Cameron, you think you’re safe because of Timothy’s protection? Don’t forget we’re in Yrando, and I’m a Price!”
In Yrando, no one dared disrespect Archie—until Cameron. His patience had snapped.
“What’s so impressive about the Price family?” Cameron asked disdainfully.
“Say that again!” Archie roared.
“Sweetheart, we shouldn’t lower ourselves. Laura will be out soon.”

“With the Price family’s welcome and your exceptional talent, she’ll notice you and favor you. They’ll only envy you!” Madison exclaimed.
“Madison’s right!” Archie straightened his collar, regaining his prideful demeanor.
Cameron shook his head, chuckling at their delusion. Then, a commotion erupted in the crowd.
“Look! It’s Ms. Jones! She’s coming out…”
