Chapter 82

“It’s Ms. Jones! It’s really Ms. Jones!” “Oh my god! She’s so pretty!” “Ms. Jones! Ms. Jones!”

The crowd erupted.

“Madison, quickly raise the sign so Ms. Jones can see us!” Archie was uncontrollably thrilled. “Yes, Dear!” Madison quickly raised a sign that read, “The Price Family Welcomes Ms. Jones to Yrando.”

The other Price family members behind her also raised their signs, shouting Ms. Jones’s name to convey their enthusiasm.

“Cameron, look! It’s really Laura!” Dakota excitedly nudged Cameron. Cameron turned to look.

At the terminal exit, Laura appeared, walking steadily in high heels and a long, snow-white dress. Her presence seemed to instantly brighten the surrounding area. Her eyebrows were like distant mountains, her hair elegantly tied up. Her black eyes were clear yet icy, as if nothing could stir her emotions. If one word could describe her, it would be ethereal.

Beside her was her secretary, who wore a light coffee-colored pencil skirt, black-framed glasses, and carried a briefcase. She, too, was attractive; anywhere else, she would be considered a top-tier beauty. Yet, next to Laura, she seemed ordinary.

“She’s so beautiful!” Dakota gasped, her gaze filled with astonishment. This was her first time seeing Laura in person, and she was far more stunning than on television—flawless in every way. Any other girl would instantly feel inferior.

“Ms. Jones! Ms. Jones!” The crowd was in a frenzy. “Ms. Jones! The Price family warmly welcomes your arrival!”

Archie and Madison were breathless from chanting. The other Price family supporters joined in, all vying for Laura’s attention. However, Laura seemed oblivious to the cheers. Her icy eyes swiftly scanned the crowd, searching for someone.

Her secretary, Peggy, walked with pride, her expression suggesting indifference to the crowd.

“Dear, Ms. Jones is looking this way!” Madison exclaimed excitedly. “Everyone, shout even louder!” Archie urged.

Seeing Laura’s gaze turn toward them, Cameron subtly retreated into the crowd. However, Laura still saw him. Their eyes met. A shiver ran through Laura; a hint of tenderness softened her cold eyes. He had come after all.

But then Cameron’s face fell. “Dakota, I’m not feeling well. I’ll be leaving first,” he said before turning and leaving. “Huh?” Dakota was stunned. “Then I’ll accompany you back!” She quickly followed him. After all, she had already seen Laura; Cameron’s well-being was more important.

“Look at how weak he is!” Madison sneered, assuming Cameron’s discomfort stemmed from nervousness.

When Laura saw Cameron leaving, urgency flashed in her eyes. She quickly moved toward him.

Madison and Archie, believing Laura was approaching them, were flushed with excitement. “Ah, Dear! Ms. Jones is walking towards us! She noticed us!” “Yes!” Archie’s face was also blushing. Ms. Jones was really coming toward them!
