151 Waiting For Her

Leviโ€™s POV

โ€œBut I belong to you,โ€ she whispered. โ€œI carry your marks. Iโ€™ve warmed your beds for months. You used to come to meโ€”regularly.โ€

I looked away, my frown deepening. โ€œAnd we used to pretend that meant something. But it never did.โ€

The words hurt her. I could see itโ€”like they cut her skin open. But I didnโ€™t stop.

โ€œWe marked you because we wanted to hurt Olivia,โ€ I said flatly. โ€œNot because we wanted you.โ€

Anita took a shaky step back. โ€œYouโ€™re lyingโ€ฆโ€

โ€œNo,โ€ I said. โ€œWeโ€™re not.โ€

โ€œYou three never loved me?โ€ she asked, her voice cracking.

Lennox laughed bitterly, devoid of humor. โ€œWe never even pretended to love you.โ€

Louis added, โ€œWe lied to ourselves. Maybe to you, too. But we never looked at you the way we look at her.โ€

Anitaโ€™s mouth trembled. โ€œOlivia,โ€ she said bitterly. โ€œItโ€™s always been her. Even when you said you hated her. Even when you claimed she meant nothing.โ€

My wolf surged at the mention of her name.

I took a deep breath. โ€œEven when we hated herโ€ฆ we never could imagine another man touching her. Not even in theory. Thatโ€™s how we shouldโ€™ve known.โ€

Lennox nodded grimly. โ€œBecause no matter what Olivia did, we never wanted to share her.โ€

Louisโ€™s voice was harsher. โ€œAnd youโ€ฆ we couldโ€™ve shared you with anyone.โ€

Anita stared at the three of us, naked and trembling, but this time with more shame than heat. She didnโ€™t argue. She only shed silent tears.

โ€œWhat is so special about her, huh?โ€ Anita snapped, her voice sharp with spite and humiliation. โ€œWhat is so special about that bitch?โ€

My eyes narrowed, and before I could stop myself, I growled. Loud, guttural, and threatening. โ€œEverything,โ€ I bit out. โ€œEvery damn thing.โ€

She flinched, but I stepped toward her anyway, the anger boiling in my chest too hot to hold back.

โ€œYou should be ashamed of yourself,โ€ I said, my voice filled with irritation. โ€œYou both grew up together. Called her your best friend. Smiled in her face while you plotted behind her back. What kind of best friend does that, Anita?โ€

Her lips parted, but I didnโ€™t give her the chance to speak.

โ€œYou seduced us,โ€ I snapped. โ€œYou saw her pain, Olivia was alone, and you took advantage of it. You wormed your way into our beds, acting like a balm to our anger, but it was never about us, was it? You just wanted to hurt her. To take what was hers.โ€

Anitaโ€™s shoulders trembled, her hands clutching the fabric of her dress tightly against her chest.

โ€œEven after you knew she was our mateโ€”married to usโ€”you still wanted us. And we were too fucked up, too bitter, too blind to see what we were doing. But you? You knew exactly what you were doing.โ€

โ€œShe didnโ€™t love you!โ€ Anita shouted, desperate now. โ€œShe never loved any of you! She told me herself!โ€

โ€œIt doesnโ€™t matter,โ€ I interrupted, my anger reaching its peak. โ€œYou should never have betrayed her. She was your fucking best friend.โ€

โ€œShe never liked youโ€ฆโ€

โ€œI donโ€™t believe that,โ€ Lennox cut in harshly. โ€œYou saw it, Anitaโ€ฆ you noticed her fall apart while you were in our beds.โ€

Louis moved beside us, his voice trembling with restrained anger. โ€œYou shouldโ€™ve protected her. You shouldโ€™ve reminded us who she was to us. Who we were. But instead, you helped destroy her.โ€

Anitaโ€™s tears spilled freely now, running down her cheeks as she shook her head. โ€œI didnโ€™t mean toโ€”โ€

โ€œYes, you did,โ€ I said coldly. โ€œYou meant to.โ€

I scoffed, stepping back. โ€œYou donโ€™t get to play the victim, Anita. Not after everything.โ€

She looked between the three of us, realization slowly dawning in her tear-streaked eyes. โ€œYouโ€™ll never want me againโ€ฆ will you?โ€

โ€œAnita, just leave,โ€ I ordered.

She didnโ€™t say anything else. Just turned away, gathered the rest of her things in silence, and walked out the doorโ€”this time not bothering to close it behind her.

After Anita left, I sucked in a deep breath and dropped back onto the couch. What we said to her was harsh, but it needed to be said. And for a moment, I felt lighter, like a weight had been lifted off my chest.

I stared at the clock again. 7:24 PM.

Every second that passedโ€ฆ was a second Olivia was out there, burning in heat. Alone. Hurting.

My voice came out rough. โ€œI just hope the seer is right.โ€

Lennox sighed. โ€œLetโ€™s wait until morning.โ€

Louis ran a hand over his face. โ€œI canโ€™t waitโ€ฆ I just need to see her.โ€

Then silence.

The three of us sat thereโ€ฆ waiting.

None of us slept that night. Not for a second. Our bodies were tired, but our minds wouldnโ€™t stop. We were scared, anxious, restlessโ€”but holding onto the hope that the seerโ€™s words would come true.

Then, finally, dawn came.

I checked the time. 6:00 AM.

Still nothing. No sign of Olivia. No message. No scent. No clue.

I looked at my brothers. They were exhaustedโ€”bags under their eyes, muscles tense. I could feel their patience slipping, just like mine.

But I forced myself to stay calm, for them and for me.

โ€œLetโ€™s wait two more hours,โ€ I said quietly. โ€œItโ€™s only six. We can give it more time.โ€

We all nodded and leaned back into the couches. The silence that followed was tense, heavyโ€”the kind that makes your chest hurt. The waiting was torture.

Thenโ€ฆ

7:01 AM.

A sudden mind link hit all three of us.

โ€œAlphas! Luna Olivia has been spotted at the north border!โ€ one of the guards said. โ€œSheโ€™s hereโ€”sheโ€™s in a car with your uncle, Alpha Damien. Theyโ€™re headed to the pack house now.โ€

My heart stopped. For a second, I couldnโ€™t even breathe.

Then I stood up so fast the glass on the table shook. โ€œSheโ€™s here,โ€ I whispered. โ€œSheโ€™s coming home.โ€

Louis stood up too, his eyes wide and glassy. Lennox was already at the door before I even finished the words.
