Chapter 256

Just then, Elliot Grantโ€™s call came again. Sebastian looked down at Stephanieโ€™s hand clutching his own. Stephanie subconsciously let go. โ€œThen, then you go.โ€

Ugh, itโ€™s so torturous. Just leave. Donโ€™t torture her here. Seeing that she was about to bury her head under the quilt, Sebastian pulled her back. The marks on her neck, like vibrant roses, blossomed in his heart.

He chuckled softly and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead. โ€œBe a good girl and get some rest.โ€ With that, he got up and left.

Stephanieโ€™s heart skipped a beat, her mind racing. Suddenly, she felt very aggrieved. When one is overwhelmed by grievance, itโ€™s the moment to let it all out. Her courage soared at that moment.

Just as Sebastian touched the doorknob, Stephanie blurted out, โ€œSebastian, you slept with me last night.โ€ Followed by a silence. The air seemed to still in that instant. Stephanie could feel her own breathing becoming uneven. Her pupils dilated as she stared at Sebastianโ€™s back. She couldnโ€™t see his expression, but now she was really going all out.

She had kept her feelings hidden for so many years, and it had been a difficult struggle. When she was in Fiorenza, she was afraid that others would discover her feelings for Sebastian. Every time Sebastianโ€™s underworld friends said things like, โ€œYour sister is so cute, so understanding, here to pick you upโ€ฆโ€, those words constantly reminded Stephanie that she was Sebastianโ€™s sister. Even if they were not related by blood, everyone thought she was his sister. She lacked confidence in completely altering that deeply ingrained perception and the thoughts of those families.

Given Sebastianโ€™s position, his future partner would undoubtedly be someone of equal standing, whether itโ€™s status or family background. These constantly haunted Stephanie, making her feel that her love was insignificant. She was so afraid of this love that she dared not reveal it. And out of fear, she kept a certain distance from Sebastian.

But that distance was completely shattered last night. She couldnโ€™t hide forever. She had long grown tired of being his sister. A silence. Stephanieโ€™s eyes turned red as she sniffled. Seeing that Sebastian didnโ€™t turn around, her voice became hoarse. She had prepared herself for the worst.

Sebastian turned around. The dim lighting in the room obscured his expression, and he took large strides to her bedside. Sensing his oppressive presence, Stephanie instinctively tried to shrink back. However, in the next moment, he reached into the quilt, grasped her waist, and pulled her out.

โ€œSebastian, areโ€ฆ Are you mad? But you came on to me. I didnโ€™t seduce you, youโ€ฆโ€ In a flustered tone, Stephanie stammered as she stated the facts. In truth, she didnโ€™t initiate, but she didnโ€™t resist. His cold lips pressed down on hers. Stephanie was stunned. Her breath hitched again. Her mind went blank as the manโ€™s kiss became fiercer, a forceful plunder that left her nowhere to escape. His scent completely enveloped her, along with the softness of his lips. Stephanieโ€™s pupils dilated, her breathing became ragged, and her mind was in a mess.

After a long while, it was only when Sebastianโ€™s phone buzzed again that he released her, his eyes flashing with annoyance at the interruption. Their foreheads were pressed together, his voice husky, โ€œYou mean, I forced myself on you?โ€ Stephanieโ€™s mind was still a little dazed, and she nodded mechanically.

Sebastian asked, โ€œSo what are you going to do about it, Stefi?โ€ Stephanieโ€™s mouth twitched. He asked her what she planned to do. โ€œNo, isnโ€™t this something you should be responsible for?โ€ โ€˜Why are you asking me this? Do you want to shift the blame onto me?โ€™ Stephanie pondered in confusion. She could take the blame for other things, but definitely not for this.

โ€œThis is something you need to take responsibility for.โ€ And then there was a silence. โ€œWhat should we do?โ€ Stephanieโ€™s voice wavered, tinged with tears. She was obviously frantic. She was worried that Sebastian would be mad, and she was also afraid that even now, he would still want her to be his sister. If that was the case, she definitely couldnโ€™t stand it.

Seeing her anxious state, his smile deepened. โ€œSo, Iโ€™ll take responsibility?โ€ โ€œYou have to take responsibility. Iโ€™m telling you, if you donโ€™t, I wonโ€™t let you off.โ€
