At the Hart residence, Catlin was frantic, trying to secure the millions needed for Olivia’s medical bills while simultaneously calling Chad. Her tone on the phone was almost pleading. “I understand you have a new life outside this; I’m not here to control or demand anything from you. But please, don’t be so harsh on us. You used to love Olivia so much.” Olivia was like a daughter to both of them, and Catlin couldn’t believe Chad felt nothing at all. Illness needed to be treated, no matter the cost. Catlin was firm in her commitment to help Olivia recover, even though Olivia had once nearly caused Stephanie’s death.
But Chad was not so easy to deal with. An hour before Catlin called, he had already learned the truth. He was aware of everything that had happened at the Hart residence in the past few days. Now, with Catlin asking for money to treat Olivia, he completely lost his patience. “Catlin, are you out of your mind? She isn’t even related to us by blood, and she almost got Stefi killed.” Chad was utterly furious.
So much chaos had occurred at the Hart residence lately. In his view, it was all due to Catlin not managing the younger generation’s issues well. Her excessive bias towards Olivia resulted in this situation. Chad shouted, “You still want to treat her? What are you thinking?”
The anger pierced through the phone lines, shocking Catlin to her core. Facing Chad’s fury, Catlin paused for a moment, then went hysterical. “So what should I do? I raised her myself; am I supposed to just watch her die now?” She really couldn’t do it. Just thinking about Olivia possibly dying because they couldn’t get the medicine made Catlin’s heart heavy.
Chad said, “If you can’t do it, that’s your problem; don’t involve all of us. Over 10 million dollars—who do you think has that kind of money available right now?” Ten million dollars was a huge amount. Even the Hart family, both now and back in the day, couldn’t come up with that kind of money just like that.
Catlin was furious when she heard him. “So now you’re spending all your money on that woman and ignoring us completely, is that it?” Recently, she’d been so caught up with things concerning Olivia that she hadn’t had time for anything else. She was even too preoccupied to realize that Chad had another family elsewhere. All she wanted was to bring the Hart family back together. She didn’t want her family to fall apart. But Chad’s attitude right now really made her angry.
“Let me tell you, Chad, you’re giving the money no matter what, whether you want to or not. And not just that, from now on, you have to give us 1.5 million dollars every month.” If persuasion didn’t work, she might as well be tough.

In the photo was Olivia, and the woman sitting across from her was Chad’s mistress. “What does this mean?” She glanced at the butler, who looked perplexed, clearly not understanding much.
