Chapter 460

Lorenzo’s eyes narrowed slightly. He exuded an icy aura, and his voice was cold as he said, “What are you looking at?”

His voice was too clear and cold. Ella snapped back to reality, shaking her head. “No, I wasn’t looking at anything. I knocked on the door, but you didn’t respond.”

“So, you just barged in?” he asked.

“I didn’t mean to…” Her mind was truly at a loss for words. She quickly averted her gaze from Lorenzo. This man was simply too striking and full of presence. Even though Ella wasn’t one to be easily attracted, she felt an unusual warmth spreading through her body at that moment.

‘How pathetic… In Long Harbor, you have seen all kinds of handsome young men. Ella, what’s wrong with you?’ She scolded herself in her mind, completely unaware that Lorenzo had already moved closer to her.

When Lorenzo’s warm fingertips touched the spot on her lips, Ella jolted back to reality and instinctively took a step back. “What are you doing?”

Lorenzo extended his crimson-tipped finger in front of her face, still carrying a hint of blood. “What’s this?”

Ella was stunned. Her already confused mind exploded with a buzz when she saw the blood on Lorenzo’s finger. Instinctively, she wiped beneath her nose, only to find her hand covered in blood.

Ella was completely dumbfounded. She found herself really pathetic. Losing herself in admiration of a handsome man was one thing, but actually having a nosebleed was another.

“I, um, I have a tendency to have nosebleeds.” The uncertainty in her voice made it unclear whether she was explaining or trying to convince herself.

Lorenzo raised an eyebrow. “Every time you see a man?”

“Yes!” Ella nodded vigorously. It wasn’t until after she nodded that she realized what Lorenzo had actually said, and she quickly shook her head. “Oh, no, it’s not like that.”

‘How could I have a nosebleed just from looking at a handsome man?’ she thought.

Whether she admitted it or not, it seemed to be the case this time. “Today was an exception,” Ella quickly explained.

Lorenzo’s lips curled into a smile. “Get me a glass of water.”

“Oh, okay.” At the sound of Lorenzo asking for water, Ella felt as if she had been granted a pardon and quickly turned to leave.

However, as she turned, a force tugged at her clothing. Before she could react, the towel wrapped around Lorenzo’s waist slipped off and landed right in front of her.

Ella froze. She instinctively turned her head. In an instant, her eyes widened, and her mind went blank again.

“No, I didn’t mean to, I…” Ella shook her head frantically, her voice full of panic. In her confusion, she looked at Lorenzo again, and when her gaze fell on a certain spot, her breathing became even more rapid.

Lorenzo was still radiating an icy aura. The next moment, with a loud “bang,” the door slammed shut right in front of Ella.

If she hadn’t stepped back quickly, the door would have hit her face for sure. The air grew still. Ella looked at the door, then at the towel lying in front of her. One corner of the towel was still caught on the zipper of her hoodie.

Ella was stunned again. What just happened? How did things turn into this mess?

She picked up the zipper and examined it. The towel was still caught on it, with a slightly stretched thread. It must have gotten caught when she turned around too quickly.

This was truly the most embarrassing situation Ella had ever been in.

After Stephanie had taken care of Sebastian, taken a shower, and was about to go to bed, Ella’s call came through again.

“Did Lorenzo agree?” Stephanie asked, thinking that Ella had spoken to Lorenzo about sending more servants. Since the people she would send were from the Lucano family, Lorenzo had no reason not to trust them.

Ella said, “Stefi, you have to save me.”

“What happened now?” Stephanie asked. Every time Ella called while being with Lorenzo, it seemed like she needed to be rescued.
