Chapter 461

โ€œHow many accidents has Ella had around Lorenzo? It seems like I really need to hurry back to Fiorenza; otherwise, Ellaโ€™s sensitive heart might truly be traumatized,โ€ she thought.

โ€œI just took off Lorenzoโ€™s towel,โ€ Ella said. โ€œDo you think heโ€™ll be so angry that heโ€™ll justโ€ฆ kill me?โ€

Over the phone, Ellaโ€™s tone was far from calm, and she truly couldnโ€™t calm down. Stephanie, upon hearing this, thought her ears must be playing tricks on her. โ€œWhat did you say?โ€

She couldnโ€™t believe her ears. Ella was always carefree, but she wouldnโ€™t be reckless to this extent.

โ€œI said, I took off Lorenzoโ€™s towel!โ€ Ella repeated.

Stephanie was stunned. โ€œThis is a pretty big accident this time.โ€

โ€œAre you serious?โ€ Stephanie asked, now certain she hadnโ€™t heard wrong. But she was still shocked.

Taking off Lorenzoโ€™s towelโ€”what on earth was she thinking? Even I canโ€™t help her now. How could she be so reckless? thought Stephanie.

โ€œIโ€™m serious,โ€ Ella said.

โ€œWhat happened?โ€ Stephanie asked. She didnโ€™t think that Ella and Lorenzo had sex. If they had, Ella wouldnโ€™t be calling her now; sheโ€™d probably be crying to her tomorrow. And she didnโ€™t believe that Lorenzo would have sex with Ella. After all, as Sofiaโ€ฆ

โ€œIโ€ฆ I justโ€ฆโ€ Ellaโ€™s mind was in chaos, and she didnโ€™t know how to explain.

Stephanie coughed awkwardly. โ€œWell, even if Lorenzo isnโ€™t capable of that, you canโ€™t just challenge a manโ€™s limits and dignity like that.โ€

โ€œI didnโ€™t,โ€ Ella insisted. โ€œI swear I didnโ€™t.โ€

โ€œSo, what really happened?โ€ Stephanie asked.

โ€œItโ€™s justโ€ฆ Iโ€ฆโ€ Ella sighed and recounted the whole story. She really wasnโ€™t being intentional; it just seemed like bad luck. She had carefully examined the situation but still couldnโ€™t figure out how the towel had gotten caught in her zipper.

After listening to Ellaโ€™s story, Stephanie was silent.

โ€œI really didnโ€™t mean to,โ€ Ella said again.

โ€œOkay, I believe you,โ€ Stephanie replied.

โ€œReally? Stefi, you really believe me? Will he believe me?โ€ Ella was terrified. She had seen with her own eyes how Lorenzo had shot those people in the head. She was genuinely afraid that he would get dressed, come downstairs, and shoot her.

โ€œStefi, maybe you should have your brother call him and ask him to spare my life,โ€ Ella pleaded, her voice trembling.

Stephanie let out a soft hiss. โ€œWhy are you crying now?โ€

โ€œIโ€™m really scared!โ€ Ella sobbed. โ€œYou have no idea how terrifying he is.โ€

โ€œHe wonโ€™t,โ€ Stephanie reassured her.

โ€œBut he will, he really will,โ€ Ella insisted, thinking back to the cold aura Lorenzo had exuded. His temper was so bad; it was really unpredictable.

Stephanie was taken aback. Ella cried for a while over the phone, and Stephanie kept trying to comfort her, but Ellaโ€™s emotions only grew more and more out of control. She could understand Ellaโ€™s fear; after all, she had never encountered such a situation or met someone like him before. It was natural that she couldnโ€™t handle it all of a sudden. But Stephanie had never noticed before that Ella could cry so much.

Half an hour later, Stephanie finally managed to calm her down. โ€œYou go and apologize to Lorenzo first. Weโ€™ll sort everything out when I get back.โ€

No matter what, she had to stabilize the situation with Lorenzo first. If she had said this to Ella half an hour ago, Ella would definitely have blown up. But now, Ella choked out a response, โ€œOkay.โ€

โ€œGo ahead. Iโ€™ll be back tomorrow,โ€ Stephanie said.

Ella responded with another โ€œOkay,โ€ but her voice was still choked with fear. Stephanie comforted her a few more times on the phone before hanging up.

Listening to the beeping sounds on the phone, Ella took several deep breaths to steady her emotions. It was really something, this roller-coaster ride from embarrassment to fearโ€”only Ella had experienced it.

She went to the kitchen and poured a glass of water for Lorenzo, remembering that he had asked for it earlier. But as she reached the stairway, she saw Lorenzo standing at the railing upstairs.

Ellaโ€™s heart skipped a beat, and a few drops of water spilled uncontrollably from the glass. โ€œUh, Mr. Moretti,โ€ she stammered.

Lorenzo looked at her and asked, โ€œWhy are you crying?โ€

Ella had probably forgotten that she had just had a nosebleed. With the blood still smeared under her nose and now on her face, she looked quite a mess.
