Chapter 507

Before Sebastian could finish, Macro cut him off quickly. โ€œNo, I think itโ€™s fine, really.โ€

Stephanie glanced at Sebastian. She also thought Sebastian was being a bit too tough. She knew Macro liked to stay clean, not in an obsessive way, but he showered every day without fail. She had heard about the Moalee Desert. That place was dry most of the year, and water was incredibly hard to come by. If Macro had to go there, getting enough water would be a real struggle.

But Sebastian had always been firm about his decisions, and right now, Stephanie didnโ€™t feel brave enough to speak up for Macro. She worried that if she wasnโ€™t careful, Sebastian might extend Macroโ€™s stay by another six months. She didnโ€™t want to see him mad or get even more upset.

โ€œItโ€™s fine. Really, itโ€™s fine. But I just need a minute to think,โ€ Macro said. He stood up and turned to leave.

After he left, only Stephanie and Sebastian remained. Stephanie spoke up after a moment. โ€œYouโ€™re going too far. Be careful. He might hold a grudge against you.โ€

Sebastian shrugged. โ€œHeโ€™s got something important to take care of over there,โ€ he explained.

Stephanie was confused. โ€œYโ€“Youโ€™re not punishing him?โ€ she asked, a little puzzled.

At that, Sebastian glanced at her and ran a hand through his hair. โ€œDo you really think Iโ€™m that cruel?โ€ he said with a smirk.

Stephanie made a small noise and snuggled into him, saying nothing. If anyone could be called cruel, it was him in his darker, hidden side. But honestly, she didnโ€™t know that side of him at all.

Seeing she was silent, Sebastian immediately knew what she was thinking. He gently pinched her ear and teased, โ€œStill scared of me?โ€

โ€œHuh? Not scared!โ€ Stephanie replied quickly, a little defensively. She wasnโ€™t scared anymore. Thinking back on those bloody moments, she thought the fear was long gone.

โ€œAm I really pregnant?โ€ Stephanie asked, lifting her head off Sebastianโ€™s chest. Her eyes were wide with disbelief. โ€˜Pregnant? Am I really going to be a mom?โ€™ she thought. Being a mom wasnโ€™t something she had ever really considered. But hearing Sebastian say she might be pregnant felt unbelievable.

Sebastian looked down at her, and his warm lips brushed her forehead. The heat made something stir inside her.

โ€œItโ€™s possible,โ€ Sebastian said softly.

He didnโ€™t know about pregnancy, but heโ€™d read a few things. Stephanieโ€™s symptoms seemed toโ€ฆ (The text is unclear here and needs further correction)

โ€œWait, are you sure if Iโ€™m pregnant?โ€ she asked, a hint of disapproval in her voice. Sebastian caught the sadness in her tone and chuckled overtly. โ€œYou want to be a mother to our child?โ€ he asked, his voice suddenly full of flirtation.

Stephanieโ€™s face turned bright red. She stammered, โ€œLโ€“Let go of me. Someone might come in?โ€ They were so close now, Stephanie could feel the heat from Sebastianโ€™s hands, and he easily noticed the way her face changed.

โ€œYouโ€™re still this shy?โ€ he teased, his voice low. Stephanie tried to wiggle away, trying to escape the heat of Sebastianโ€™s hand. But she forgot one thing: she had never been able to escape him before. Whether it was from childhood homework or rebellious moments as they grew up, she was always in his grip. And now, there was no escape.

โ€œLet go of me,โ€ she said, trying to pull away. When he didnโ€™t loosen his grip, she let out a frustrated little noise.

Sebastian smirked, his eyes gleaming. โ€œYou still havenโ€™t told me. Do you want to be the mother of our child?โ€

โ€œWell, who else would I be the mom of?โ€ Stephanie snapped, her words sharp. โ€˜Besides him, who would let me have their kid? Who else would I have a kid with?โ€™ she thought.

Hearing her angry words, Sebastian chuckled softly. He gave her a playful pinch under the chin. โ€œGetting bold now, huh? Youโ€™re not afraid to talk back?โ€

Flinching, Stephanie couldnโ€™t answer, but she knew she was speaking the truth.
