Chapter 506
Stephanie stared at Sebastian, clearly confused. Macro frowned, a puzzled look on his face. โWhat do you mean by that?โ
Sebastian turned to him, his expression cold. โHow did you treat her?โ
Macro blinked, processing what heโd said. โHow did I treat her? Wait. Whatโs he talking about? Is there some special way to treat her?โ He looked at Sebastian, completely not understanding what he was getting at.
Sebastianโs question caught Macro off guard for a second. He didnโt know how to respond. Then he replied flatly, โWith my eyes, of course.โ
Sebastianโs face darkened as he glared at Macro, who still seemed clueless. His voice turned icy as he asked, โIf something goes wrong after she takes this, are you going to take responsibility?โ
Macro froze, thinking, โWait. What?โ โItโs not going to cause any problems. Itโs just digestive enzymes. You know that,โ Macro said, trying to brush it off. โSheโs taken it before, right?โ he thought.
Stephanie looked at Sebastian, just as confused. โYeah, itโs just digestive enzyme powder.โ
Sebastian glanced at the cup in her hand and then at her. Without saying a word, he took the cup from her.
Macro frowned. โWhatโs the big deal?โ โItโs just a little stomach trouble. Do we really need a full exam before giving her medicine? Just take the powder. Itโs no big deal,โ he thought. But Sebastianโs extreme worry for Stephanie didnโt make any sense to Macro. He shook his head in disbelief. โYouโre really going overboard.โ He thought being caring was one thing, but this was too much. Sebastianโs protectiveness left Macro feeling a bit suffocated. โHow does she deal with all this?โ he thought. He felt a lot of pressure from taking care of her.
Sebastian shot Macro a cold, accusing look. โShe might be pregnant. Are you seriously giving her random medicine?โ
At that, both Macro and Stephanie froze. The room was completely still. Macroโs eyes widened. He stared at Sebastian in disbelief and then looked over at Stephanie. He slapped his forehead. โOh, right! Stefi, you might be pregnant!โ
โHow did I not think of that sooner?โ he thought. Thinking it through, he realized that Stephanieโs symptoms over the last few days were exactly like those of pregnancy. She had no appetite and felt super tired all the time. She ate stuff she had never liked before.
Stephanie froze when she heard Sebastianโs words. โIโm pregnant?โ she asked, clearly unsure.
Macro immediately jumped in. โYouโre the one whoโs pregnant. Why are you asking him?โ
Stephanie looked totally confused. โAm I pregnant?โ she thought. Sebastian rubbed Stephanieโs soft head and shot Macro a glare that could kill.
โYou must go to the Moalee Desert,โ he said, his voice serious.
Macro flinched. โIโI didnโt connect the dots between her symptoms and pregnancy. Donโt be too hard on me.โ
Sebastian narrowed his eyes. โYou didnโt realize something this big?โ
Macro felt completely defeated. โOkay, this is on me,โ he thought. โIโm sorry,โ he said quietly. โWait, heโs way too careful with Stefi. Why didnโt I notice this before? But then, Sebastianโs always like this when it comes to her,โ he thought.
But seriously, Macro didnโt want to go to the Moalee Desert. Macro glanced desperately at Stephanie. โStefi, please, help me out,โ he asked. He knew only Stephanie could get Sebastian to listen now. No one else could change his mind. He was too crazy.
Stephanie turned to look at Sebastian. Before she could say anything, Sebastian cut her off coldly. โIf you ask her to beg, Iโll make sure you stay there for another six months.โ
โStop, Stefi. Donโt say anything. You donโt need to say a word. I can handle this,โ Macro quickly interrupted, stopping Stephanie before she could speak.
Sebastianโs threat was enough to make Macro decide against asking anyone for help. Stephanie stared at Sebastian, shocked. Macro looked at Sebastian with a pitiful expression. โThatโs just too harsh. Youโre really too harsh,โ he said.
Sebastian raised an eyebrow. โOr maybe you should stay even longer.โ
Macro, who had been complaining a second ago, shivered when he heard Sebastianโs words.
