Chapter 106

“Olivia! What’s wrong?” His tone was panicked. Catlin also rushed into the ward. Seeing Olivia’s blood-covered mouth and the stained quilt, she screamed. “Ah—”

“Olivia? What happened? Stephanic, what did you do? Did you poison her?” Catlin angrily accused Stephanie.

Chris frantically pressed the call bell. His gaze toward Olivia was cold. Stephanie reacted, and the ensuing chaos brought the doctor and nurse rushing in.

Five minutes later, Olivia was in the emergency room, and Catlin and Chris were barred from entering. Tyler approached Stephanie. “What did you do to her? Stephanie, what did you do?”

Catlin stepped forward, furious. “We should focus on her illness! What are you fighting about?” She raised her hand to slap Stephanie, but Stephanie intercepted her, throwing her into Tyler’s arms. Catlin, already enraged, roared, “Call the police! She poisoned Olivia!”

Catlin believed Stephanie was responsible; otherwise, Olivia wouldn't have suddenly vomited blood. Olivia had been under the care of top specialists.

Stephanie’s eyes hardened. “Call the police?”

Catlin’s intention was clear—to seek justice for Olivia. Though Stephanie had never shown affection for her biological mother, the thought of Catlin calling the police chilled her.

Catlin’s tone was frigid. “You’re vicious! I don’t have a daughter like you!” She yelled at Tyler, “Call the police!”

Tyler hesitated, but recalling Olivia's condition, he decided Stephanie deserved consequences. He dialed the emergency number, reporting Stephanie for poisoning.

An hour later, Sebastian arrived at Whispering Bay. Before exiting his car, Stephanie called. “Sebastian, tell Elliot to bail me out.”

Sebastian was stunned. “Huh?”

“I got arrested,” she explained.

Sebastian’s aura immediately chilled. Even Elliot, driving ahead, shivered.

“Where are you?” Sebastian asked icily.

“The Central Police Station,” Stephanie replied.

“I see.” Sebastian hung up and told Elliot, “Get me to the Central Police Station in ten minutes.”

Elliot was shocked. The drive was at least thirty minutes, especially during rush hour. But Sebastian's orders were absolute. Elliot took a shortcut, exceeding the speed limit and incurring the wrath of other drivers. They arrived within ten minutes.

Stephanie was being interrogated. “You poisoned Olivia. What poison did you use?”

“I’m waiting for my brother,” Stephanie replied, her response consistent despite twenty minutes of interrogation.

The officer, enraged, slammed his pen on the table. “Even if God comes, you’ll answer! What are you waiting for? Talk!”

The interrogation room door slammed open.
