David had retired too early. Alexander, still young, controlled a massive business empire. While undeniably capable—he’d even led Quirk Group to greater heights—his inexperience invited trouble. Lionel seized this opportunity to bring everyone together, ensuring no Quirk family member, present or future, harbored ulterior motives. Human intentions were unpredictable; the current generation’s loyalty didn't guarantee the grandchildren's.
Therefore, even if it meant emotional blackmail, Lionel wanted Alexander to make the trip to Yrinas. He didn't want others questioning the family head's absence and attributing it to childhood trauma—that would be a laughingstock.
The more he considered it, the more Lionel felt David and Selena were excessively cautious. Alexander was a young, outstanding business leader. Why couldn't he make the trip? Lionel, from a different era, believed one must endure hardships to achieve greatness.
"I've said so much. You understand my efforts, right? Can you make it?" he asked wearily.
Alexander closed his eyes, then said, "All right, I'll bring Isabella."
Lionel breathed a sigh of relief. "Wonderful!" he exclaimed, his voice brimming with joy.
After the call, Alexander chuckled at Isabella. "We're expected in Yrinas for a month." Isabella met his gaze meaningfully.

Isabella perked up. "They don't know I'm the Gossip Queen and Justice Upholder?"
Alexander nodded slightly. "I suppose not." He feigned a troubled sigh. "My first worry might be my aunts' and uncles' family situations." Isabella, displeased, pinched him.
Alexander corrected himself. "Or, if their families are in trouble, they'll need your righteous rescue."
Isabella laughed. Suddenly, a fleeting thought escaped her grasp.
Returning to the Quirk manor, everyone was shocked by Alexander's decision, too startled to move.
"Are you sure?" Selena asked, concerned.
"Don't force yourself. I'll speak for you," David added quickly.
Evian frowned.
Alexander smiled reassuringly, but his family remained on high alert. Even Christopher and Rosalie, overseas, frequently checked the group chat. Then Alexander worked overtime, preparing for his month-long absence. Many tasks could be managed remotely, but preparation was needed.
On the day of departure, David and Selena still worried Alexander might fall ill. On the private jet, he acted normally after takeoff, easing everyone's tension.
Christopher and Rosalie, having left early, were expected to arrive in Yrinas first and pick everyone up. They were discussing this when they saw Alexander yawning.
David said, "You've been working too hard. You stayed up late. Take a nap."
