Chapter 342: Finding Alexander Particularly Charming
"That's enough. I'll handle it myself," Eric said, oblivious to his daughter Janice's silence. She had become unusually quiet.
Meanwhile, the most cheerful atmosphere was inside Felix Quirk's car. David's younger brother, a widower, had brought his two children. "Why so quiet all of a sudden? Weren't you both thrilled about Alexander's arrival?" Felix asked, smiling.
Both children smiled, but their eyes were glued to their phones, fingers furiously typing.
"Thrilled! My smile's practically permanent," Jake Quirk said. "Alexander's my idol! His charisma is amazing."
"I'm excited too," Eula agreed. "I even managed to sneak some photos of Alex and Bella. Chris is handsome, but Alex's good looks are unbeatable. He's perfect."
"More perfect than your boyfriend?" Jake teased.
"More so than yours, anyway," Eula retorted. "Bella's beautiful too. We'll find a way to 'bag' anyone we like."
The brothers groaned in unison. "Don't do that! A ruthless person might call the police!"
Grinning, Eula showed her phone. "He's willing."
"You probably bribed him," Jake joked.
"Better than your unseen online friend!" Eula shot back. "You're one-of-a-kind among wealthy heirs!" The siblings erupted into an argument.
Felix instantly felt a throbbing headache coming on.
Soon, the luxury cars arrived at the vast, ancient Quirk manor, where every inch of land was incredibly valuable. The Quirks felt anxious; it was here that Alexander had become withdrawn and autistic.
