Chapter 252

Lindseyโ€™s fluent command of an international lingua franca put Sven at ease. He promptly retrieved the promotional brochure and hurried over.

โ€œSo youโ€™re Ms. Clem. I almost got it wrong. That explains itโ€ฆโ€ Sven chuckled. โ€œSo, how is it? I didnโ€™t lie to you, did I? Our equipment is good, isnโ€™t it?โ€

Lindsey smiled, โ€œYes. This was requested by someone who knows their stuff, so itโ€™s good. By the way, let me introduce you to an old friend. I suppose you havenโ€™t met yet, have you?โ€

As soon as she finished her words, she pulled Josie to her side.

Josie was watching the drama unfold, only to find herself caught up in it. She was at a loss for words. The things she told Lindsey before were lies, and now that sheโ€™s paired with Sven, wonโ€™t her lies be exposed?

Fortunately, she had the presence of mind.

โ€œHello, Sven. My name is Josie Pearson. Previously, I added your contact information via your official website. We have spoken privately before, although it has been some time, so you may not recall.โ€

Sven worked in sales and had plenty of online contacts around the world. He might recognize their usernames, but when it comes to matching them with real-life people, he was not nearly as good.

As a result, he genuinely believed her.

โ€œSo, what was your online name?โ€ Sven inquired with a serious expression.

Josie chuckled and said, โ€œIt doesnโ€™t matter what it was. You can add my current contact information.โ€

She openly took out her phone, not because she was eager to add Sven as a friend, but to make him forget that they had once been online friends (a pretense, not the actual situation).

Fortunately, Sven was not one to dwell on details and did not pursue the matter further. Instead, he took out his phone and exchanged contact information with Josie once again.

Lindsey regarded the situation as straightforward and did not dwell on it further. After all, there was nothing particularly suspicious about such matters, and in any case, she would benefit regardless.

โ€œSpeaking of which, I got to know your company thanks to Josieโ€™s introduction, which also helped facilitate the business deal. Weโ€™re all friends from now on. How about we have a meal together?โ€ Lindsey enthusiastically invited.

So that was what was going on. Josie began to understand why Lindsey had insisted she come to receive the goods. It was probably due to concerns about the handover process. Since Josie knew Sven, her presence could serve as a buffer and help prevent conflicts.

Yet, how could Josie have known Sven, whom Josie was acquainted with, had lived in a previous life?

โ€˜That is close. Fortunately, nothing went wrong,โ€™ thought Josie, inwardly breathing a sigh of relief.

Sven was thinking, โ€˜My company does not have a website in this country. To access our site, one must bypass local internet restrictions and visit the internet outside the country.

I canโ€™t believe this young woman actually went to a foreign website to follow a company that makes medical devices. Is our company that famous already?

โ€˜Oh my! Iโ€™m overjoyed. The development would significantly accelerate my entry into this countryโ€™s market.

โ€˜With the advancement of this countryโ€™s scientific and medical technology, the demand for equipment will only continue to grow in the future. Iโ€™m sure to make a fortune as a result!

โ€˜Thanks to this adorable young lady. Her cute looks can even bring good luck to people. Sheโ€™s an angel, and I want to worship her!โ€

The equipment was unloaded promptly, and the technical instructors from Sven were always ready to provide operational training to all personnel.

Lindsey proposed that they have a meal first.

Once all the equipment had been arranged, Jeremy locked the door and stepped outside, without refusing the proposal.

Audrey, still pale and not yet recovered, said, โ€œI will not be joining you. Please enjoy your meal, and I will see you at the afternoon training session.โ€

She nearly fled in a panic, afraid she would hear everyoneโ€™s laughter if she left too late, although no one mocked her out of boredom.

As soon as she left, Jaden and the others also left one after another. They were too embarrassed to join Lindsey for a meal.

Accordingly, Jeremy was accompanied by Sean and Josie from the research institute. Together, they went to the restaurant along with Lindsey, her secretary, and Sven.

As soon as they left, Audrey smashed up her office, shouting, โ€œLiar! David, you ignorant liar!โ€

Jaden was so frightened that he dared not enter the room. He saw Audrey take out her phone and call David.
