Chapter 252

Lindsey’s fluent command of an international lingua franca put Sven at ease. He promptly retrieved the promotional brochure and hurried over.

“So you’re Ms. Clem. I almost got it wrong. That explains it…” Sven chuckled. “So, how is it? I didn’t lie to you, did I? Our equipment is good, isn’t it?”

Lindsey smiled, “Yes. This was requested by someone who knows their stuff, so it’s good. By the way, let me introduce you to an old friend. I suppose you haven’t met yet, have you?”

As soon as she finished her words, she pulled Josie to her side.

Josie was watching the drama unfold, only to find herself caught up in it. She was at a loss for words. The things she told Lindsey before were lies, and now that she’s paired with Sven, won’t her lies be exposed?

Fortunately, she had the presence of mind.

“Hello, Sven. My name is Josie Pearson. Previously, I added your contact information via your official website. We have spoken privately before, although it has been some time, so you may not recall.”

Sven worked in sales and had plenty of online contacts around the world. He might recognize their usernames, but when it comes to matching them with real-life people, he was not nearly as good.

Josie chuckled and said, “It doesn’t matter what it was. You can add my current contact information.”

She openly took out her phone, not because she was eager to add Sven as a friend, but to make him forget that they had once been online friends (a pretense, not the actual situation).

Fortunately, Sven was not one to dwell on details and did not pursue the matter further. Instead, he took out his phone and exchanged contact information with Josie once again.

Lindsey regarded the situation as straightforward and did not dwell on it further. After all, there was nothing particularly suspicious about such matters, and in any case, she would benefit regardless.

“Speaking of which, I got to know your company thanks to Josie’s introduction, which also helped facilitate the business deal. We’re all friends from now on. How about we have a meal together?” Lindsey enthusiastically invited.

The equipment was unloaded promptly, and the technical instructors from Sven were always ready to provide operational training to all personnel.

Lindsey proposed that they have a meal first.

Once all the equipment had been arranged, Jeremy locked the door and stepped outside, without refusing the proposal.

Audrey, still pale and not yet recovered, said, “I will not be joining you. Please enjoy your meal, and I will see you at the afternoon training session.”

She nearly fled in a panic, afraid she would hear everyone’s laughter if she left too late, although no one mocked her out of boredom.

As soon as she left, Jaden and the others also left one after another. They were too embarrassed to join Lindsey for a meal.

Accordingly, Jeremy was accompanied by Sean and Josie from the research institute. Together, they went to the restaurant along with Lindsey, her secretary, and Sven.
