Chapter 385

“Jaden, are you okay?” Vincent Oldham reached out and pulled Jaden up.

Jaden turned his face away and wiped the tears from his face. “What are you doing here?”

“I came to find Josie!” Vincent clenched his jaw. “I came to ask her why she wouldn’t help me when it was such a small favor for her. She is so cruel!”

Jaden got angry hearing this. “What right do you have to demand her help? She doesn’t owe you anything!”

“But, she used to…” Vincent took a deep breath, feeling very resentful. Josie used to prepare exam materials for many people.

He wondered why she heartlessly refused to help him. If it weren’t for her, he felt that he would have failed to get into graduate school.

If it weren’t for her, he would have already become a first–year graduate student by now and wouldn’t have been looked down upon by David. He might even be allowed to join the new project.

Jaden raised his hand and punched Vincent in the face.

He said, “Wake up. She was bullied by us before. Just because she didn’t say anything doesn’t mean everything we did was right. That kind of thinking is unacceptable.

“You have no right to blame her for anything!”

Vincent tasted blood in his mouth.

“Is that really what you think?” Vincent scoffed.

He said, “You clearly bullied her more severely than anyone else, wishing she’d be your personal servant, a mere tool to serve only you.

“Otherwise, you wouldn’t have pretended to like her, falsely offering to date her and even promising her money, all just to make her devoted to helping you.

“But she refused, so you became enraged and ramped up her workload. Think about it. Didn’t she do the most work for you over the past few years?”

Jaden denied, “That’s nonsense.

“The person she helped the most was clearly Aiden. She liked Aiden, so she was willing to do anything for him. She didn’t help me much.”

Vincent spoke coldly, his face expressionless. “Yes, the person she helped the most was Aiden.

“To please him, she was willing to do anything for him. Why couldn’t she do the same for us?

“So, each of us had this idea, and we kept pushing her and exploiting her until she couldn’t take it anymore and left the team.

After she left, everything changed!”

“No, you’re wrong!” Jaden wiped his face.

He said, “She didn’t leave because she couldn’t stand it. She left because of Natalie. It was all that woman’s instigation that made Josie leave us.

“That’s why we all became so miserable.

“If she hadn’t left and gone against us, how would we have ended up like this? It’s all Natalie’s fault.

It’s also her fault that you couldn’t get into grad school. After all, she prepared the study materials for you.

“Doesn’t she think she’s better than Josie? How could the materials she prepared for you be wrong?”

Vincent grabbed Jaden’s collar.

He asked, “Isn’t this all your fault? If you hadn’t refused to give me your old grad school study materials, why would I have relied on Natalie?

“If I hadn’t relied on her, how could I have failed to get into grad school?”

Jaden laughed aloud.

He said, “Aren’t you, like Gavin, one of the best among us? You were just shy of surpassing Aiden. Didn’t you even rank first in your year last semester?

“How could you not even get into graduate school?

“Vincent, haven’t you noticed we’ve all become too reliant on Josie? Because of her, we’ve all become useless.

“Once she left, we became even more useless. That’s why we were so easily manipulated by Natalie.”

Given Vincent’s abilities, if he had just taken a little time to organize study materials for himself and reviewed intensively, he would never fail to get into graduate school.
