Chapter 385

โ€œJaden, are you okay?โ€ Vincent Oldham reached out and pulled Jaden up.

Jaden turned his face away and wiped the tears from his face. โ€œWhat are you doing here?โ€

โ€œI came to find Josie!โ€ Vincent clenched his jaw. โ€œI came to ask her why she wouldnโ€™t help me when it was such a small favor for her. She is so cruel!โ€

Jaden got angry hearing this. โ€œWhat right do you have to demand her help? She doesnโ€™t owe you anything!โ€

โ€œBut, she used toโ€ฆโ€ Vincent took a deep breath, feeling very resentful. Josie used to prepare exam materials for many people.

He wondered why she heartlessly refused to help him. If it werenโ€™t for her, he felt that he would have failed to get into graduate school.

If it werenโ€™t for her, he would have already become a firstโ€“year graduate student by now and wouldnโ€™t have been looked down upon by David. He might even be allowed to join the new project.

Jaden raised his hand and punched Vincent in the face.

He said, โ€œWake up. She was bullied by us before. Just because she didnโ€™t say anything doesnโ€™t mean everything we did was right. That kind of thinking is unacceptable.

โ€œYou have no right to blame her for anything!โ€

Vincent tasted blood in his mouth.

โ€œIs that really what you think?โ€ Vincent scoffed.

He said, โ€œYou clearly bullied her more severely than anyone else, wishing sheโ€™d be your personal servant, a mere tool to serve only you.

โ€œOtherwise, you wouldnโ€™t have pretended to like her, falsely offering to date her and even promising her money, all just to make her devoted to helping you.

โ€œBut she refused, so you became enraged and ramped up her workload. Think about it. Didnโ€™t she do the most work for you over the past few years?โ€

Jaden denied, โ€œThatโ€™s nonsense.

โ€œThe person she helped the most was clearly Aiden. She liked Aiden, so she was willing to do anything for him. She didnโ€™t help me much.โ€

Vincent spoke coldly, his face expressionless. โ€œYes, the person she helped the most was Aiden.

โ€œTo please him, she was willing to do anything for him. Why couldnโ€™t she do the same for us?

โ€œSo, each of us had this idea, and we kept pushing her and exploiting her until she couldnโ€™t take it anymore and left the team.

After she left, everything changed!โ€

โ€œNo, youโ€™re wrong!โ€ Jaden wiped his face.

He said, โ€œShe didnโ€™t leave because she couldnโ€™t stand it. She left because of Natalie. It was all that womanโ€™s instigation that made Josie leave us.

โ€œThatโ€™s why we all became so miserable.

โ€œIf she hadnโ€™t left and gone against us, how would we have ended up like this? Itโ€™s all Natalieโ€™s fault.

Itโ€™s also her fault that you couldnโ€™t get into grad school. After all, she prepared the study materials for you.

โ€œDoesnโ€™t she think sheโ€™s better than Josie? How could the materials she prepared for you be wrong?โ€

Vincent grabbed Jadenโ€™s collar.

He asked, โ€œIsnโ€™t this all your fault? If you hadnโ€™t refused to give me your old grad school study materials, why would I have relied on Natalie?

โ€œIf I hadnโ€™t relied on her, how could I have failed to get into grad school?โ€

Jaden laughed aloud.

He said, โ€œArenโ€™t you, like Gavin, one of the best among us? You were just shy of surpassing Aiden. Didnโ€™t you even rank first in your year last semester?

โ€œHow could you not even get into graduate school?

โ€œVincent, havenโ€™t you noticed weโ€™ve all become too reliant on Josie? Because of her, weโ€™ve all become useless.

โ€œOnce she left, we became even more useless. Thatโ€™s why we were so easily manipulated by Natalie.โ€

Given Vincentโ€™s abilities, if he had just taken a little time to organize study materials for himself and reviewed intensively, he would never fail to get into graduate school.
