Listen to this chapter:

It was tragic that in Lama’s past life, she had truly believed Wyatt was noble and untouchable, like someone who lived among gods, out of reach for someone like her, an ordinary person. His words felt like divine commands, making it impossible for her to question him. If it weren’t for Mia dragging him into the mud, she might never have seen his hypocritical side.

After spending a long time in prison, she often wondered why she hadn’t seen through Wyatt’s true nature sooner. It wasn’t until the moment before her death that she seemed to understand—Wyatt had used her insecurities and manipulated her. He had psychologically abused her and guilt-tripped her. If she had to name the most dangerous person out of the five seniors, it would certainly be Wyatt, who was most skilled at manipulating hearts and minds.

A trace of hatred flashed in Luna’s eyes as she took in Nicole’s words. “Looks like he’s still sick,” she said.

“Luna, how could you say that about Wyatt? He’s just trying to care for you. If you’re ungrateful, that’s one thing, but why insult him?” Mia pushed over and stepped in front of Wyatt, clearly trying to protect him, looking exactly like how she used to be back then.

No—Mia wasn’t like she used to be. She wasn’t as foolish as Luna had been.

“Another one with problems,” Nicole snorted coldly.

“I didn’t know some people were looking for insults,” Lima said indifferently.

“What do you mean by that? Wyatt had never been so openly disrespected.” “Didn’t you hear what I just said?”

She acted like she had just noticed him. “Wyatt, were you talking to me just now? Sorry. I’m not here to look for you. I’m here for the meeting on behalf of our team.” She turned to the student council member who had spoken with Wyatt earlier and said, “Patrick, could you please register me and give me another brochure?” “Sure. Please come this way.” Patrick glanced at Wyatt, a hint of surprise in his eyes.

Wyatt was always popular with ladies despite his sharp tongue. However, this was the first time he had seen two female students confront him. It was strangely unsettling.

“Oh, Wyatt, who would have thought someone like you would end up like this?” he thought.

“Stop!” Wyatt choked on his words. He hadn’t expected Luna to act this way, which embarrassed him.

“If you want to make a scene, at least lower your limits. What are you even doing in this competition? With your abilities, you’ll just make a fool of yourself. Just go back,” he said.

The first step in guilt-tripping was constantly belittling the other person and making them feel inferior. Once they began to doubt themselves, he had won.

Luna lunged forward. “I’m not the one embarrassing you, so why are you so worked up? Or are you saying you don’t want me to compete because you’re afraid I’ll embarrass you? Does the student council have the right to stop me?”

She turned to Patrick. “No,” Patrick immediately shook his head. “Wyatt, you can’t stop Luna from competing.”

Wyatt’s expression darkened. “Shut up. This is between me and her. Stay out of it!” He reached out to grab Luna. “Come with me. We need to talk.”

“No!” Luna stepped back, resisting his hand. She suddenly realized that this was a pattern. They all liked to have private conversations with her. She didn’t understand why before, but now it was clear. It was because the things they said, the so-called “for her own good,” were ones they couldn’t say in front of others.

She looked at Wyatt with amusement. “Walt, you’re wrong. This isn’t between you and me. This is between our team and the student council. Are you trying to use your position to stop our team from competing?”
