Chapter 609
Rafael and Carissa rushed outside, finding Viola with disheveled hair, clutching a dagger to her neck. Blood seeped from the wound. Her maid, Poppy, pale and trembling, had been unable to stop her. Viola had insisted on going to Hell Monarch Estate, even purchasing the dagger en route.
Spotting Carissa, Violaโs bloodshot eyes blazed with rage. โCarissa, what grudge do we have? Why are you trying to ruin me?โ she screamed.
Carissa calmly instructed Luke, โSend someone to Silverstone Estate and Valor Estate to escort Mrs. Warren home.โ Luke nodded and hurried away.
Carissa turned to Rafael. โYou should go inside. Iโll handle this.โ
Rafael, noting Violaโs instability, warned, โBe careful not to hurt yourself,โ before returning inside.
As he went, Yuvan emerged. Rafael blocked him. โUncle Yuvan, letโs continue our conversation. Where were we?โ
Yuvan, assuming an air of authority, boomed, โWhatโs going on here? Who dares barge into Hell Monarch Estate so recklessly? This requires immediate attention! We canโt tolerate such intrusions into a royal residence!โ
Fiona followed Yuvan. Rafael didn't stop her. Playing along, Fiona exclaimed, โYour Highness, isnโt that the Earl of Silverstoneโs third daughter? Whatโs happening?โ
Viola, unprepared for Yuvanโs presence, seemed slightly disoriented by Fionaโs words. Her cold gaze remained fixed on Carissa.
โLetโs talk privately. Otherwise, Iโll die here with my child. Youโve driven me to the brink, so it matters little where I die.โ
Fiona, with a falsely sympathetic smile, added, โIf you have grievances, Mrs. Warren, share them. Prince Yuvan will ensure justice.โ
Carissa shouted, โViolet, take Lady Fiona for a walk in the garden!โ
Violet, though unseen, promptly appeared, gracefully leaping from a ledge. She seized Fionaโs arm. โYou enjoy mediating disputes, Lady Fiona? Wonderful. The lakeโs fish are fightingโyou should help me break it up.โ
Without waiting for a response, Violet dragged Fiona away.
Chapter 609 (continued)
Fiona, encountering Violet's unexpected boldness, felt anxious and angry, yet maintained her composure.
Meanwhile, Rafael forcefully pushed Yuvan back toward a chair.
Yuvan smiled wryly. โRafael, no need to overreact. I merely wish to see who dares cause a scene at your residence.โ
Rafael remained unmoved. โMatters between women should be settled by women. Why involve ourselves? Or were you so bored in Valken that youโd bother with such trivialities?โ
Yuvan, taken aback by Rafaelโs sharp retort, was speechless and frustrated.
Helen seized the opportunity. โWhen stationed in a fief, what else is there to do but be bored? Not everyone enjoys the capitalโs busy schedule.โ
Noticing Yuvanโs displeasure, Molly attempted to smooth things over. โA carefree life is a blessing,โ she said lightly.
Helen retorted, โYouโre young. How did you marry this old man?โ
Molly blushed. โYour Highness, the prince is in his prime. You canโt call him old!โ
Outside, Carissa dismissed the servants and turned to Viola. โLetโs go to the side hall.โ
Carissa, walking ahead, was genuinely perplexed. What had enraged Viola? And what was this talk of suicide and two lives being lost?
