Chapter 754

Since the night of the Emberfest Festival, when Molly and Fiona returned home and shared what happened at Harmony Palace, Yuvan had been consumed by anxiety. He didn't need Wayne's advice; he knew it was crucial not to leave the capital for Valken at such a critical moment. Leaving would be tantamount to declaring his guilt. Wayne advised him to focus on his palace duties, feigning ignorance about recent events. Those Yuvan had brought to the capital were to remain inconspicuous and inactive.

On the surface, Yuvan maintained a calm demeanor; inwardly, he was a whirlwind of turmoil. He wanted to gather information but lacked the means. He knew those closely involved with Eleanor were on edge, and his status as a prince made the situation even more delicate.

After considering his options, the only potential source of information was Molly, whose cousin, Violet, lived at Hell Monarch Estate and was a close friend of Carissa.

Before entering the palace to attend to Ruth, Yuvan visited Molly's chambers.

"You have few acquaintances in the capital, and I imagine this time has been dull for you. You have a cousin at Hell Monarch Estate. You should visit her more often, engage in conversation, and subtly inquire about the case involving Grand Princess Eleanor. Just be discreet."

Although Molly didn't fully grasp the gravity of Yuvan's situation, she sensed he was hiding something. The events of that night still frightened her.

"Your Highness, if Grand Princess Eleanor is involved in treason, it's probably best we don't become entangled."

Yuvan's expression darkened slightly. "Precisely because it's a grave charge, we need to find out more. She is my sister, raised alongside me. If anything happens to her, it could implicate us. We must gather information to prepare for any potential fallout."

Reluctantly, Molly conceded, "Alright, I'll visit her today."

"Remember, don't ask directly. Use subtle hints," Yuvan reminded her.

"Understood."

However, Molly made no effort to see Violet after Yuvan left for the palace. She knew this was a chance to win Yuvan's favor and surpass Fiona, but it wasn't appealing. Her cousin was difficult; Violet often acted superior and had been cold to Molly in the past. Even strangers would acknowledge her, but Violet wouldn't even offer a nod.

So, despite her promise to Yuvan, Molly decided against visiting Violet.

Before entering the palace, Yuvan spoke with Fiona. She was equally anxious, uncertain about the situation, and afraid Eleanor would expose Yuvan and his family's involvement.

Fiona desperately wanted more information. It was past five in the evening when she found Molly still at home.

She approached Molly, but the maid informed her that Molly was napping. Fiona's face flushed with frustration. "Tell her Prince Yuvan wants to know if she's visited Ms. Spencer."

Molly's peaceful sleep was interrupted by Fiona's loud entrance, leaving her displeased. Hearing it was Yuvan's command, she reluctantly got up, instructing someone to bring Fiona in.

As soon as Fiona entered, she exclaimed, "Why haven't you left yet, Lady Molly? The prince has already sent someone to ask about it."

Molly replied tersely, "My cousin isn't idle at Hell Monarch Estate. Given the gravity of this situation and the Supreme Court's involvement, she's certainly busy. I wouldn't be able to see her during the day. It's best to wait until tomorrow morning."

Fiona's anxiety increased. "But His Highness wants you to go today! You can't postpone it! The situation changes rapidly, and knowing something sooner can make all the difference."

Molly shot Fiona an annoyed look. "What does a rapidly changing situation have to do with us? We're not involved in the treason; we're merely gathering information. It's not a life-or-death situation. Besides, Violet is likely not home during the day."

Fiona was exasperated by Molly's indifference but couldn't convey her urgency.

"How do you know she's not there if you haven't even gone? You should at least try. Even if she's not home, you'll have something to tell His Highness. Otherwise, he might blame you."
